General Purpose: This position is responsible for answering customer inquiries for account maintenance, and billing inquiries for WEX through multiple channels. This position is part of a contact center that provides 24/7 coverage to customers. The position handles authorizations for all lines of business. The CSS is required to maintain knowledge of all programs, practices, and procedures within the department. S/he is required to become proficient in multiple platforms and applications needed to support WEX customers. S/he is expected to meet department expectations for call quality and productivity. The position relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Answers inbound calls from drivers, merchants, fleet managers

  • Assists customers with billing questions, payments, and invoices

  • Resolves customer issues in a timely manner

  • Troubleshoots and assists customers with online inquiries

  • Performs account maintenance while ensuring proper security measures are met

  • Identifies accepting locations for customers to use product

  • Processes authorizations for merchants when appropriate

  • Documents accounts as needed

  • Sends forms to customers via fax/email as requested

  • Maintains compliance with policies

Sales Focus

  • Promotes programs and products available

  • Maintains compliance with policies

  • Maintains adherence and conformance to scheduling needs and expectations

Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration

  • Education equivalent to a high school diploma

  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, possible holidays and occasional overtime

  • Must pass a successful background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Communicate effectively, both verbal and written

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Previous customer service experience

  • Positive, professional attitude and phone etiquette

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced, goal oriented environment in a fast paced, goal oriented environment

  • Ability to effectively navigate through multiple computer systems and platforms

General Purpose: The Recovery Agent applies industry knowledge, departmental policies and procedures, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to make appropriate collection decisions.
