This position supervises the Industrial Coatings customer service representatives (CSR's) for the liquid and powder plant in Brazil IN. The supervisor will review customer order priorities with Technical, QC, Production and Shipping to ensure on-time delivery performance.
Provide daily guidance, training, development and support to the CSR's in carrying out their responsibilities. Build a strong working relationship with the Commercial Team, Technical, Manufacturing and Shipping to ensure alignment in meeting customer needs. Work with Customer Service Manager to develop and implement team goals.
Develop a proactive stance in dealing with all customer service related problems and implement appropriate action plans to ensure customer satisfaction. Continually work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department using Quality processes.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Minimum 4 years customer service experience for manufacturing clients.
Previous supervisory experience would be beneficial. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Must be detail oriented and possess leadership skills.
Once hired into PPG, here is the career path progression:
Customer Service Supervisor III: Entry-level supervisor. Experience outside of PPG.
Customer Service Supervisor II: The incumbent has at least 2 years of experience at PPG as a Customer Service Supervisor III and is fully trained and competent in all facets of the Customer Service Supervisor position.
Customer Service Supervisor I: The incumbent has at least 4-6 years at PPG of supervisory experience, takes a leadership role in the department and has excellent coaching and counseling skills, capable of supervising any customer group.
