Customer Service / Store Associate -Weekdays 8Am -5Pm

Job Description Job Description Store Associate We are seeking a skilled store associate to join our team at the uniform supply store. This role requires exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

As a store associate, you will greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding the items they are looking for. You will also be tasked with notifying customers that their uniforms are ready for pickup, responding to customers via email, and answering the phone when it rings. Other tasks include operating the cash register and assisting with in-store maintenance.

To succeed in this role, you must maintain a positive attitude and consistently strive to provide excellent customer service. As store associates, we expect that you ensure customers leave the store happy. What we need you to do (but not limited to): Learn about our products and our customers Greet guests as they enter the store, and provide excellent customer service Answer the phone and respond to emails regarding customer order status and product information.

Notify customers that their orders are ready to be picked up by phone, email, and text messaging, and locate their merchandise once they come in for pick-up Assist with placing uniform orders; making sure the correct items have been selected and are correctly fitted for size Communicate with Alterations and Garment Decoration departments to ensure orders are completed to customer specifications Operate a cash register and perform related tasks, including cash handling, credit card processing, and opening and closing of the register Assist in store maintenance by ensuring shelves are continuously stocked, straightening out the merchandise, and other tasks as needed to keep the store looking clean and neat Unpack and receive inventory items and restock merchandise on the sales floor What you’ll need to have: 2 years of proven experience in a similar role High school diploma or equivalent - Some College coursework preferred Experience and knowledge with a Point of Sale (POS) system Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook Positive attitude, friendly, outgoing demeanor Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and the ability to occasionally work overtime. Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions and work independently Physical ability to remain standing for the majority of an eight-hour shift About us: Banner Uniform Company is not (a typical retail) store.
