Responsibilities will be primarily working with customers in the Resource Area and Call Center, to provide them with a supportive and assistive environment in identifying service needs and informing customers of available services including resume assistance, cover letters and interview preparation. Duties will include greeting customers, assessing their employment needs, providing skill building and Labor Market information. Will assist and guide customers in using Job Service's web site and labor exchange system located at jobsnd.com and other job search related websites. Assist clients in career exploration and provide educational workshops. Must be able to provide excellent customer service to all Job Service customers. Duties will also include assisting with general email inquiries, receiving phone calls, answering questions, providing needed information and directing customers to appropriate service. Provide customers with a supportive and assistive environment in identifying service needs, informing them of services available, providing services to meet needs, and giving appropriate referrals to other programs/services available within Job Service and the community.
Requires six years of work experience performing administrative, customer or employment service duties that involved providing information and assistance to customers within an organization offering a variety of products or services. Work experience normally includes receiving and analyzing information, determining the available solution(s), and assisting or directing customers in implementing and completing necessary steps to resolve issues or satisfy inquiries. Related college-level course work may be substituted for the work experience requirement on a year for year basis.
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Experience with human service work. Fluent in a second language, superior communication and customer service skills. Experience working with diverse groups of people, problem solving skills and knowledge of community resources. Extensive experience with Word, Excel and internet.
