Full Time

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serves as first contact to the Registrar's Office and other areas of the office suite

  • Provides customer service to students, faculty, staff and other campus visitors/customers

  • Assists customers with student record inquiries through a comprehensive understanding of Registrar's Office and University processes and procedures

  • Answers multiple telephone lines

  • Verifies accuracy of documents received in person

  • Processes address changes

  • Organizes and maintains confidential electronic and paper files

  • Oversees the distribution of all Registrar's office daily mail

  • Provides full administrative support as needed to Registrar and professional staff

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Access (For full consideration, Microsoft Office Testing is required by October 19, 2019; see "Additional Information" section below for instructions).

  • Demonstrated ability to learn different and new technologies

  • Experience using email programs

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult interactions with diplomacy, tact and in a confidential manner

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone etiquette)

  • Work history that emphasizes an understanding of customer service and reflects an ability to work with high volume of telephone and customer contacts

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions

  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize information to make independent decisions with minimal supervision

  • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, students and the public

  • Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multicultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities

Essential Functions Include: * Ensuring the in-store and online customer are always the #1 priority * Assisting in pulling merchandise from the selling floor and stock rooms to fill on-line orders * Engaging with customers and assisting them in fulfilling their shopping needs * Completing transactions using our point of sale registers * Maintaining sales floor and fitting room recovery standards * Executing merchandising tasks including placement of merchandise, movement of fixtures and merchandise, stockroom maintenance and organization, replenishment of the sales floor, and execute price changes * Executing signing in a timely and accurate manner to include organization, maintenance, sign set-up and removal * Flex between tasks as directed by a Supervisor * Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality * Perform other duties as necessary Qualifications Include: No prior experience is required. Seasonal Customer Service Associates should have excellent communication skills, enjoy engaging with customers, and be comfortable using technology. Along with a strong sense of urgency, he/she should possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This position involves standing for at least two consecutive hours, and involves lifting at least 30 lbs.
