The principal role of the Customer Service Specialist (CSS) is to aid in the answering of research, technology, circulation, and directional questions from library customers. Specialists will also facilitate group study room reservations and usage, assist with events, and monitor spaces.

Familiarity with the University's campus and the Lynchburg area
Previous customer service experience
Able to work in and with diverse populations
Knowledge of database and computer searching techniques
Knowledge of Library of Congress Classification and Dewey Decimal System
Second language proficiency
Successful completion of INFT 110 or BUSI 201 or equivalent computer class
40 hours per week in rotating shifts
Must be willing to work nights/weekends
