The starting rate for this position is $16.50/hour.

LeeTran is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our LeeTran team. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for ensuring all riders have a first-class passenger experience while ensuring a high level of assistance to continuously exceed our customers' expectations. This is a year-round temporary position with opportunities for full-time and future advancement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing legendary customer service to passengers or potential passengers

  • Professionally answer incoming calls and assist passengers with the scheduling of trip requests

  • Provide friendly service and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers

  • Responsible for greeting and handling customers in a polite and friendly manner.

  • Resolve passenger issues

  • May be required to deliver route schedules to organizations as requested

  • Creative thinker who enjoys a team-based atmosphere

  • Assist passengers with fare-related inquiries

  • Handle cash, checks, and credit cards as forms of payment during the bus fare purchasing process; balances a drawer at the end of shift

  • Complete required forms and reports

  • May perform other job duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Licensing

  • Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to High School graduation or GED and one year of fast-paced, professional customer service or closely related experience.

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.

  • Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency; able to work in a fast-paced work environment with quickly changing priorities

  • Compassionate demeanor when assisting passengers with a variety of disabilities

  • Must be able to communicate information and instructions verbally and written

  • Able to read documents, follow instructions, learn and understand procedures, rules and regulations

  • Works proactively and independently, with the ability to take initiative

  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to learn new information and apply knowledge to job responsibilities

  • Strong computer skills and ability to use general office equipment

  • The workdays and hours for this position are Monday

  • Friday 8:00 am

  • 5:00 pm with rotating weekends and some holidays.

  • This is a Temporary position with FRS and Medical Only benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
