Responsible for monitoring and dispatching proper authorities for National Account alarms and contacting appropriate responsible parties. The Emergency Dispatch Operator monitors system for alarm signals and responds to alarms using the information provided in instruction screens. Places necessary outgoing calls to verify an alarm, dispatches the proper authorities, and notifies responsible parties. Properly documents alarm handling procedures within the alarm screens. Completes alarm processing in accordance with departmental procedures

As an Emergency Dispatch Operator you will participate in a five week training. We provide a fun and interactive learning environment. You will learn about the role and the great opportunities within our company, performance standards, receive quality assurance and work though training module to be a successful Emergency Dispatch Operator.


  • Must be 18-years-old
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be flexible to work Swing Shifts
  • Bilingual in both Spanish/English a plus
  • Minimum of six (6) months of call center experience; one year or more call center experience preferred OR
  • 1-2 years customer service experience


  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to type between 30 - 35 wpm.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Ability to Work Efficiently Under Pressure
  • Strong Problem Solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong work Ethic

Successfully graduating from your training program is an essential job requirement.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-18T00:00 What Customer Service Operations contributes to Cardinal Health Customer Service Operations is responsible/a catalyst for providing proactive solutions, inquiry research/resolution, and root cause analysis. Acting as liaisons for both internal and external customers, Customer Service Operations enhances the customer experience by leveraging inbound and outbound channels. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Rotates between two schedules every other week. Monday - Friday on week and Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday (1 pm - 4 pm this day) the next week. This will include being in an on call rotation which includes both weekend days. Candidate must be flexible to work different schedule, shift or days based on business need. Accountabilities Approximately 75% customer services duties and up to 25% assisting in warehouse as needed * Expedites orders by acting as a liaison in problem solving, research and problem/dispute resolution * Works with spreadsheets to track order information * Processes customer orders through Isotrac * Determines flights, transportation methods for delivery of product. Tracks of packages with couriers, charters, airlines * Prints and organizes paperwork * Generates labels (shipping, hazardous materials) for I-123, I-131 products * Determines quantities of I-123 activity to order based on customer demand * Orders I-123 and I-131 products/activity from suppliers. Orders direct input materials related to production of I-123 finished capsule product * Handles invoices/billing of independent pharmacies serviced directly by facility * Shipping support on Run 1, Holidays for select special locations * Responsible for establishing, maintaining and enhancing customer business through contract administration, customer orders, and problem resolution * Informs the Mgr., Operations when situations require follow-up actions * Assists in warehouse as needed with pack/pack and shipping * Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity. Performs other job duties as assigned Qualifications * Bachelors degree preferred * 2-4 years experience preferred * Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel strongly preferred as this role will work with spreadsheets * Strong communication skills * Past customer service experience preferred * Flexible to work various schedules including weekends and holidays What is expected of you and others at this level * Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks * Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity * Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve * Applies judgment within defined parameters * Receives general guidance may receive more detailed instruction on new projects * Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
