Job Summary

Coordinate the operation of a campus wide central receiving, surplus operations, asset management, internal moves and campus setups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and establish effective relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.

  • Collaborate with the OIT encryption team on the detailed oriented process of receiving computer assets. This will include documenting PO #'s, asset information, and working to ensure all assets are accounted for through accurate documentation.

  • Assist with the scheduling and fulfilling of freight deliveries, internal moves, event set-ups, surplus pick-ups, deliveries and disposal/re-purposing of surplus items.

  • Receives and resolves complaints from faculty and staff relating to mail service problems.

  • Assist with the implementation of policies and procedures for proper handling of incoming assets, accurate documentation of information for UT-Share input and communication with the encryption department and OIT.

  • Assist with the document destruction and shredding of hard drive process, scheduling, storage and transfer of material to the vendor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) to five (5) years' experience in a Customer Service role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Utilization of time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

  • Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year (4) college or university in Business Management or related field, and three (3) to five (5)years' experience in a Customer Service role and/or training.

  • Prior people management experience, including strong competencies in talent identification and development, coaching and mentoring.

  • Analytical skills and knowledge necessary to identify opportunities and make recommendations for improvements based on a solid understanding of the business and competitive landscape and market trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Solid work ethic, with a results-oriented philosophy and excellent judgment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Very detailed oriented.

Other Requirements Working Conditions

May be requested to work after hours and weekends for special program events. The physical environment requires employee to work both inside and outside.
