  • Promise to be on the ball? Our customers come first and updating customer files in a timely manner is a crucial component to this position!
  • Handle dealing with customer complaints and other situations in a professional manner?! Helping our customers with the highest level of customer service is important- we are the Customer Service Department, after all!
  • Juggle projects and reports as requested by the Customer Service Manager?
  • Help our customers get a better night sleep!?

Do you have?

  • Any post secondary education? This is considered an asset, but it's not mandatory!
  • Experience with 2 years of customer service skills? This is also considered an asset, but it's not mandatory!

Are you able to?

  • Communicate effectively? This requires having strong listening and interpersonal skills!

  • Motivate yourself and the team?! You will need to be team oriented since our department is all about "one team, one focus!"

  • Be more than organized?! We aren't looking for someone who organizes by shapes and color...but we do need you to be neat, tidy, and on-track with information, documents, etc!

  • Think detail, detail, and MORE DETAIL? Attention to detail is critical for success in this role!

  • Think quickly and tackle problems on your own?

  • Multi-task? If you can't type and talk on the phone at the same time...you may want to reconsider this role.

  • Accomplish and meet department objectives and goals?

  • Work with Microsoft Office? The right candidate will need to be well acquainted with these programs.

  • Have fun, be fun, and stay fun? An upbeat attitude and sense of humour is considered a strong asset!

  • Work weekends?

  • Work flexible hours?

  • Love people as much as we love sleep?!?!

Department Details:

From your first day in the Customer Service Department, you will know what it truly means to spend a lot of time on the phone! You will be part of a team who works together to make sure our customers are receiving the best experience possible. Providing the best customer service also means that the department is extremely fast paced. Without the passion for excellent customer service, we simply wouldn't be the top mattress retailer in Canada! We hope that you enjoy working with other departments, too, because you'll be in constant contact with sales and distribution. To succeed here, you'll need a positive attitude, a customer oriented focus, and a great sense of humour!

Compensation:

If you're the successful candidate who is asked to join our team, we'll pay you to work here! Based on your experience, we'll offer you a competitive salary.

Pre-Screening/Assessment Requirements: * Customer Service Assessment – Minimum 80%, manager preference 85% or higher * Prepare for a Behavioral Interview Accountable for the successful resolution of all customer requests through seamless delivery of service and/or fulfillment requests by answering calls, chats or emails in a contact center environment. This is an inbound contact center role that requires sitting and taking calls for the entire shift, with structured breaks. Will handle routine account related transactions while delivering a great client experience. Works in a fast paced environment that requires accuracy, use of logic skills while multi-tasking, toggling between multiple systems and clearly communicating resolutions in an efficient manner. May be required to provide professional written responses using proper spelling and grammar. Requires knowledge of multiple Bank products. Involves referring customers to the appropriate line of business for products not supported, through a variety of communications channels. Must successfully navigate the organization to resolve customer requests. Ensures all actions are resolved in compliance with industry regulations and bank procedures, integrity levels of the departments system and financial controls. Will be required to meet and/or exceed minimum performance standards . Will be required to quickly read frequent updates and learning materials, often while on the call, and must be able to implement immediately into calls with accuracy. Minimum 1 year of contact center or equivalent customer service experience. Required skills: * Ability to work within the operating hours and days for this position as outlined in the posted job requisition. * Ability to work the required days and hours as listed in the job requisition without any absences or vacation time in order to attend mandatory training. * 1+ years of experience working with customers. * 1+ years of experience handling difficult situations with customers. * Intermediate proficiency (1-3 years of experience) in written (including grammar and spelling) and verbal communications * Ability to engage with customers, begin a conversation, build rapport, and handle objections. * Comfortable with ongoing change and learning new technology/processes. * Ability to analyze and resolve customer inquiries. * Ability to provide a positive customer experience through creative solutions. * At least an intermediate ability in computer skills. Ability to navigate multiple computer systems while interacting with the customer.
