Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Customer Service Representative specializing in our tint paint, and wood coating products, to join our team of professionals. in our Boston (North Reading) branch location.

Key Responsibilities

As a critical and meaningful role within the Richelieu organization, the Customer Service Representative is primarily responsible for providing customer service support to the organization by obtaining, analyzing, and verifying the accuracy of order information in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for ensuring that excellent standards of service and high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained. This person specifically supports our paint and coating products and materials

  • Answer phone calls from customers placing orders as well as provide sales quotes

  • Receive and manage inbound paint and wood coating/tint materials, some of which will be mixed and utilized at this branch location

  • Work closely alongside outside sales representatives with customer orders and quotes

  • Help the tint and color matching team members with product availability, order details, and customer support

  • Eventually, this person will train to mix and prepare tint/coating materials for application

  • Assist customers in the showroom with questions and order placement

  • Solicit new or complimentary sales for customers via phone as well as face-to-face in the showroom

  • Research product solutions for customers to solve field-project issues

  • Restock the showroom and perform cycle counts as required

  • This position requires frequent pushing, moving, and/or lifting of materials up to 60 lbs. and frequent exposure to chemicals such as paint and wood coatings

What We Are Looking For

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a customer support role, especially related to building materials or kitchen and bath cabinetry

  • Seeking expertise with paint, wood coatings, solvents, finishes, or other finishing materials (ideally, used for furniture, automotive, or other commercial applications)

  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills

  • Team-oriented, shows initiative

  • Strong sense of drive and creativity

  • Proficient with Word and Excel

  • AS400 experience a plus

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; must be able to effectively use Excel, Word, Outlook for daily responsibilities and tasks

  • High School graduate, some college courses preferred
