Job Summary:To serve as a centralized information center for all questions, inquiries and complaints. To provide accurate information regarding all tasks and responsibilities performed by the Client Services Representative and to outperform the customers expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Respond to Telephone and email requests for service pick-ups, quotes, tracking, tracing, problem solving, provide a proactive approach to shipment details and transit.

  • Sort, forward and process incoming faxes and e-mails and phone calls.

  • Maintain all necessary files and administrative paperwork required to respond to client and management requests.

  • Perform any administrative projects directed by management or client requests.

  • Serve as a liaison between our customers and vendors maintaining all relationships always keeping our culture and world-class customer service in mind.

  • Assistant to sales representatives and other departments as a member of our gold team structure.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to establish priorities and execute those priorities.

  • Ability to identify, report, and correct problems

  • Knowledge of how outside carriers conduct business: i.e. our entire partner and vendor network.

  • Proficient typing skills (30-35 words per minute)

  • Computer knowledge including use of Microsoft applications: i.e. Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Heavy phone work is required thus one needs excellent 2 way communication skills (listening and speaking)

Credentials and Experience

  • High school degree required

  • Associate degree in a two year college a plus

  • 1-2 years experience with Transportation or Phone Center environment is a plus.

The DC Controller functions as the leading financial planning & accounting professional in the DC and is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of results of the company's assets through balance sheet integrity and ensuring a strong control environment. The DC Controller also serves as the business partner to the Site Manager focusing largely on providing financial and operational leadership and improvements, including identifying and driving cost reductions. Main Accountabilities: The DC Controller position is accountable for the Financial & Accounting operations of the site. Responsible for the DC's Balance Sheet reporting (US GAAP), provides periodic operations financial reports (Actuals, Forecast, Budget, KPIs), maintains an adequate system of accounting records, and oversees Internal Controls and site capabilities. Controllership & Compliance Accountable for ensuring balance sheet integrity, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and fostering a strong control environment at the site: * Managing a complete and thorough month end close process; * Ensuring full compliance of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; * Being a strong example of integrity and 'Doing the Right Thing'; * Noting and appropriately mitigating business risks; * Proactively seeking and improving any deficiencies; and * Work directly with Internal and External Audit teams as required. Inventory Control Partner with the Inventory Control teams to: * monitor the DC's cycle count performance, identifying related root causes and implementing action plans; and * reducing excess and obsolete inventory Business Partnership Functions as a business partner with the Site Manager to effectively manage and control all facets of the site's efficiency and productivity by: * Framing financial and operational issues in a complete business case format and positively contributing to the strategic direction in the DC; * Leading and/or participating in presentations to DC employees and management; and * Providing strategic input. Financial Reporting Provides operational financial reporting and analysis by: * Preparing and managing actual, forecast, and budget scenarios throughout the course of the year; * Analyzing and interpreting DC performance, evaluating variances and assessing the effects on DC results; * Providing management with the strategic tools and reports to drive business results; * Serving as project manager on cost reduction initiatives, working cross functionally with operations, supply chain, and procurement to drive cost reductions; Job Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA or MBA a plus * SAP and HFM experience a plus * Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and possess strong background with information technology * US GAAP Experience * Minimum of 5 years of Finance/Accounting experience with at least 2 years as a Controller; * Travel - approximately 10% Core Success Skills * Willingness to embrace SBD Leadership Qualities * Controllership mindset * Proactive not reactive * Continuous improvement mindset * Acts as an involved business partner to Controllership and Operations teams * Demonstrates effective teamwork * Clear and concise visual presentation skills Job Specific Competencies * Demonstrated leadership of diverse teams * Excellent communicator * Excellent interpersonal skills * Able to interact with all functions and levels of employees * Highly motivated * Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Stanley Black & Decker, Inc.
