Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by providing support, guidance, proper follow-up and resolution to client inquiries or issues.

Essential Duties

  • Assist customer with product questions, ordering, order tracking, complaints and problems

  • Enter orders into system for billing and delivery

  • Prepare quotes and coordinate mailings of literature and samples

  • Coordinate delivery schedules and dispatch

  • Build displays and keep merchandise stocked on shelves

  • Retrieve needed information for the credit department

  • Issue credits or debits accurately when applicable

  • Set up new customers for Salesforce

  • Answer incoming calls

  • Take sales orders from sales representatives and customers by phone and radio

  • Assisting walk-in counter customers

  • Receiving cash payments and running credit card approvals and check approvals

  • Categorize, file and maintain ship ticket copies for audit purposes and file all customer records

  • Print and distribute e-mailed customer purchase orders

  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent or an equivalent in related experience

  • Detailed oriented

  • Good with basic math

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with a multi-line phone system

  • Attention to detail

  • Pleasant phone personality

  • Ability to multi-task

Physical Environment

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions of the wrist, hands, and fingers to use a computer

  • Bending and some lifting

  • Extensive writing and phone and radio use

  • Tasks can be very repetitive

  • Slight lifting of ship tickets and overnight packages

Responsibilities: * Responds promptly to inbound calls from client hospitals regarding billing questions. * Answers patient inquiries by clarifying desired information. * Resolves problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved issues. * Gathers and enters patient information into hospital host system. * Directs inbound callers to the appropriate company contact. Required Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Excellent customer service skills exhibiting good oral and written communication skills. * Moderate computer skills (internet, email, MS Office-ability to work within multiple host systems and company tools. * Punctuality. * Friendly conversation and smiling with face and voice. Desired Qualifications: * Call Center experience – Having worked in a call center, candidates who understand what it's like to be tied to a headset and have cadence of their day dictated by callers. * Medical or insurance background or experience – Being somewhat familiar with insurance concepts and/or medical terminology, makes the R1 way easier. * Customer Service experience – Consistent demonstrated success in a service-oriented position shows commitment to being a nice person and satisfying customer's needs. Physical Requirements: * See, read, and/or operate computers, telephones, office equipment, documents, labels, including manipulating paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands. * Remain sitting, standing, or walking for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment. * Frequent interactions with associates, patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require associate to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. * Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information banding patients, etc. * Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items (over 50 lbs.).
