Markel Corporation, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Customer Service Representative, Tier I. This person will deliver a quality customer service experience that meets or exceeds service level standards, builds rapport and long-term relationships with customers to encourage renewal/repeat business. This position requires the associate to stay current and knowledgeable of all procedures to ensure department standards and guidelines are meet, which include Schedule Adherence, Quality Assurance, First Contact Resolution, Average Talk Time, Average Handle Time, Average Speed of Answer and Coding.
Work diligently to find resolution to customer concerns and escalate to appropriate level when necessary.
Convey information efficiently, effectively, and appropriately in order to meet the needs of the customer.
Strive for first call resolution in order to provide "best in class" service.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one year of call center or customer service experience required
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
Pleasant and friendly phone voice
Superior communication skills, both oral and written
Possess strong organizations and analytical skills
Must have a strong sense of urgency, the ability to multi-task, while maintaining a high standard of accuracy
