Customer Service Representative I, Tissue Morphology (Full-Time, Day)

The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana! Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the laboratories perform more than 19 million tests a year. In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.

The Customer Service Representative for Tissue Morphology responds to patient inquiries via telephone and email. Determines the best method for problem resolution meeting patient need and organizational guidelines. Coordinates issue resolutions with other departments as necessary. May gather patient personal and billing information for database entry and scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED. No experience required.

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding preferred.

• Ability to type 30+ words per minute.

• Requires working knowledge of computers.
