Pay Range: $ 19.76/hr - $ 23.22/hr - $ 26.68/hr *Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $ 23.22/hr, based on applicable experience POSITION SUMMARY: #The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing information, processing referrals, and coordinating delivery# of equipment and scheduling of services.# They servesas a liaison between the patient, physician, insurance company and other health care providers.# The Customer Service Representative must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients of Enloe Medical Center.# EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: - One year experience utilizing clerical, computer, and receptionist skills
Six months experience in a medical setting performing such tasks as patient registration, insurance verification or medical billing Desired: - Medical terminology
Previous home medical equipment billing experience or related experience
Previous home health and hospice billing experience or related experience
ICD-9 Coding # SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Must have excellent telephone communication skills and interpersonal skills to maintain a high degree of rapport with patients, co-workers, physicians and the public.# Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.# Analytical and grammatical skills are necessary to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite) for a variety of support functions.# Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.# Must show sensitivity for the patient and family, and maintain strict confidentiality.Updated 9/30/15
