Summary

The customer service position is one of the key interactions between our customers and our brand. We are looking for an upbeat, positive, and energetic person to engage with our customer base providing them the excellent service experience Pumps and Controls has been providing for over 35 years.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day order entries from phone calls, emails, online orders, and faxes.

• Follows up with vendors and suppliers with purchase orders, ship/delivery dates, special order items, and pricing discrepancies.

• Helps customers navigate product selection based on the needs of the application.

• Manages other customer service related tasks to help get products out to customers in a timely manner.

Experience

• Basic understanding of data/order entry (Profit 21 a plus).

• Basic knowledge of small package shipments (UPS/FedEx) and some LTL shipment processes.

• Excellent phone etiquette, along with writing skills to explain issues through email as needed.

• Able and willing to learn a new industry, product line, and the supporting components to help customers select the appropriate equipment.
