CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)

The City of Martinsburg is accepting applications for a Full-Time Customer Service Representative in the Finance Department.

Position requires high school diploma or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices such as accounting, communications, cashiering, typing or data processing.

The successful candidate must be able to perform clerical and computerized cashier duties, receive and process cash, checks and credit cards as payment forms, make proper change accurately and promptly, sort and process mail, utilize a multi-line switchboard to direct incoming phone calls and address citizen visits concerning City services. Candidate must be able to successfully multi-task when high customer volume and interruption occurs.

Strong customer service skills are required as well as the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Position serves as a back up to the water/sewer, stormwater and fire and garbage collectors, and performs other duties as assigned.

Position has a starting wage of $37,838 annually and includes an excellent benefit package. The deadline to apply is no later than Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
