Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for facilitating communication internally and externally regarding Cooper Standard ISG products and services. This includes, but is not limited to, responding to customer inquiries, order processing and product quoting. The Customer Service Representative also works with the cross-functional teams to ensure any concerns are proactively addressed with the customers and sales representatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent customer service daily through timely correspondence via phone, e-mail or in-person

  • Researches and coordinates with internal staff to address customer concerns

  • Performs customer verifications and establishes new customer accounts

  • Processes orders, applications, and requests in a timely manner

  • Provides accurate quoting/pricing and delivery information for new and established accounts

  • Manages the release of new parts including data entry, reviewing the purchase order, and quoting

  • Maintains detailed records of customer inquiries, transactions and other relevant communication

  • Proactively contacts customers and provides follow-up information on orders; alerts the customer and sales rep of any changes or problems with the production or shipment of goods

  • Works with other internal team members to manage past-due orders

  • Supports all ISO, GHS and related certification/compliance requirements

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of Customer Service

Key priorities include greeting customers, assisting them with selection of merchandise, completing transactions, and answering questions regarding the store and merchandise.
