The Customer Service Representative (CSR) position is the primary contact point for the public, shops, vendors and suppliers. The CSR must provide high quality customer service by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products, programs and procedures, and process orders received by telephone, fax or E-mail and resolve customers' inquiries. This position involves communicating effectively in a business-like manner with customers, vendors, suppliers and office personnel in both written and verbal expression.


  • Answer phone calls on the first or second ring and responds to faxes with the same quick and effective response that is applied to customers calling.

  • Handle customer's inquiries, questions or concerns in a positive and professional manner.

  • Inform customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.

  • Write or type order form, or enter data into computer, to determine total cost for customer.

  • Print shipment documents and forward to the Customer Service Manager for review.

  • Record or file copy of orders received.

  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.

  • Confer with warehouse or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.

  • Communicate effectively with upset customers, multiple warehouses and freight carriers.

  • Make follow-up calls to customers that have not ordered from us for a period of time.

  • Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, returns, reshipments and tracks shipments for customers.

  • Perform invoicing for warehouses as needed.

  • File paperwork as necessary accurately.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Aspects

  • Ability to work in a fast pace office environment.

  • Sustained posture in a seated position for extended periods of time in front of a computer terminal.

  • Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the work day.

  • Proper lifting techniques required.

  • May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.

  • Constant walking throughout the office.

  • Constant typing and usage of office equipment.

  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task & work well under pressure.

  • The noise level is usually moderate.

  • Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes.


  • Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service.

  • Must be able to provide exceptional customer service in written and verbal expression.

  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities and meeting deadlines and schedules.

  • Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Great Plains.

  • Require pre-employment drug test and background check.

  • Foreign language (Spanish or French) is a plus.

Our inventory includes windshields for conversion buses, motor coach, fire apparatus, specialty vehicles, transit and school buses. The right candidate will be creative, analytical, resourceful, collaborative, self-starter and open-minded leader who can partner with different teams to produce products and services that support the company's vision as well as the strategic needs of our customers. As the Manager of Product and Service Development you will be actively involved from the conception of an idea to development and implementation, which will be instrumental in opening new opportunities for Coach Glass. In addition, the MPSD is responsible for the quality and development of existing products and services. The MPSD works closely with the executive team and sales team to identify and implement PSD strategies that will drive new sales and deliver improved performance to Coach Glass and its customers. Responsibilities * Identify the demand and requirements for new and existing products and services. * Execute full lifecycle product development initiatives (conceive, design, develop, test, manufacture and implement). * Develop product and service solutions driven by both customer requirement and by proactive identification of customer needs. * Research design options and perform feasibility experiments. * Evaluate and anticipate market needs by coordinating with market researchers and material suppliers. * Create designs using computer aided software and test models. * Lead project teams with internal resources, customers, and suppliers. * Stay abreast of government regulations and their impact on existing and new products and services. * Direct and manage the quality and safety of existing and new products. * Reengineer existing products, services, and business processes * Develop and implement quality programs to improve supplier quality and product performance. * Evaluate non-conformances and recommend design modifications. * Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. * Establish metrics to monitor and report the performance of PSD and quality initiatives. * Create and implement inspection programs and tools for existing and new products. * Perform onsite trials at suppliers and customers. * Alter and modify designs to meet requirements and eliminate malfunctions. * Participate in and lead the identification and qualification of new suppliers. * Measure, track, and ensure customer and supplier tolerances are met * Create documentation for new products and services. * Deliver specifications and procedures to suppliers. * Provide technical support to customer service and supply chain personnel. * Work with suppliers to improve efficiencies, quality, and reduce costs. * Coordinate with Logistics to devise handling, packaging, and delivery methods for new products. * Responsible for hiring, training, counseling and conducting performance evaluations of PSD team. * Perform other duties as assigned.
