JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Respond to quote requests from outside and inter-company customers.

  • Fill out contract, quotation and shipping forms.

  • Assist with sales of new or additional services.

  • Arrange for and coordinate transportation of product to customer as required.

  • Assist customers with complaints concerning billing, referring complaints of product / service failures (Non-Conformance Reports) to designated departments for investigation.

  • Contact customers via phone or in person and receive orders for products.

  • Determine charges for product requested.

  • Collect deposits or C.O.D. payments, prepare change of address records, and issue change orders.

  • Purchase (within limits) materials in support of orders.

  • Continuously expedite and report on Work Order status.

  • Maintain and update customer list, price list, etc.

  • Filing and general support of position

  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience with demonstrated competencies preferred

  • Proficient verbal communication skills

  • General knowledge of products to be sold and purchased

  • General computer knowledge

  • Must have basic reading, writing and math skills

  • Ability to interpret and follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedules form

  • Should be able to work and interact with all levels of personnel

VIEW JOBS 10/21/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-19T00:00 Role Summary: Baker Hughes has an opening for an Offshore Field Service Technician Subsea and TLP/SPAR in the Gulf of Mexico. The Field Service Technician will be in charge of pre-defined operation, installation, maintenance, repair, testing, adjustment, troubleshooting, and technical assistance based on good engineering, manufacturing, installation, and operation practices as applicable to upstream oil exploration / production equipment and in accordance with contractual work scope requirements. Essential Responsibilities: * Operation, Installation, or maintenance of company and customer equipment (Subsea wellhead and tooling, Tension Leg Platform and Spar, Specialty Connectors and Pipe.) in accordance with the company's recommended procedures, methods & guides * Comprehensive job preplanning including all logistics, tooling, Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE), and technical work scopes applicable to assignments * Timely completion of all Pre and Post job and administrative duties including but not limited to customer and service reports, timesheets, job debriefs, tool condition reports, pre and post job checklists and tooling tracking * Use of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of materials, drawings, prior job reports, certifications, skills and competencies, etc * Proactively interface between all functions of the company and our customers concerning technical, operational, and HSE challenges as applicable to any assignment * Mentorship, development, and guidance of less experienced peers * Safe and compliant performance of all activities in line with the company's and our customer's environmental health and Safety (HSE) guidelines and procedures * Uncompromising integrity to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and company rules and requirements * Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive, and professional approach * Timely completion of and accountability for all assigned pre and post job duties Qualifications/Requirements: * Technical High School Diploma / GED * Minimum 3 years work experience either in engineering or field service * 2 years previous experience working offshore * 1 year of experience working in a shop * Experience working on Subsea TLP/SPAR * Ability to understand and implement electrical and mechanical drawings Desired Characteristics: * Previous experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas industry * Familiarity with upstream oil equipment specifications and procedures * Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in a technical environment * Ability to accommodate frequent worldwide travel working varying hours in difficult working conditions on short notice * Strong analytic and problem solving skills * Willing to develop technical knowledge in self and others * Good interpersonal and organizational skills * Strong Computer skills including operating systems and standard office software * Ability to obtain all required Security and Safety Clearances and Certifications * Ability to lift heavy objects * Knowledge of operation, installation, and / or maintenance exploration and production equipment on Land, Offshore, or Subsea Locations: Broussard, LA Baker Hughes Broussard LA
