Process all Customer Shipment Request, Prepackaged Inbound Notifications and expeditiously resolve any inquiries related to your area of responsibility. This includes but is not limited to processing orders and inbound notifications, proactively (when possible) communicating & coordinating with UDC Operations Department, Customers, Freight Forwarders, Steamship Lines, Trucking Companies and Management to ensure all prepackaged inbounds, shipment requests, inventory control, reports and general inquiries are processed in a timely manner (on-time if applicable) while maintaining the highest level of quality.
Essential Job Functions
Receive & Review all shipment requests for Customer and/or Country of Destination regulations.
Process shipment orders accurately and immediately to ensure all paperwork is distributed to the appropriate parties.
Continually monitor loading process/status of shipment requests
Proactively identify potential issues with customer orders & communicate to All Parties Involved & Upper Management
Immediate response and follow-thru to Customer inquiries
Process prepackaged inbound notifications
Complete Customer reports on-time and accurately
Complete and enter miscellaneous charges
Process repack requests under 5000# (unless being repackaging on a pack-out line)
Process re-labeling requests (unless being re-labeled on a pack-out line)
Immediately notify customer of damage and/or lost material and remove from inventory
Communicate new Customer process instructions to your supervisor
Process Customer requests for stock releases/transfers
Complete and distribute miscellaneous work orders for shipments/inbounds requiring overtime, disposing of customer inventory, pre-physicals and other non-standard Customer requests.
Fax/Mail completed BOLs to the Customer
File completed orders
Lead & Reconcile Customer Physicals
Research & resolve inventory discrepancies
Relief for Switchboard
Each Customer must be provided Excellent Customer Service
Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Minimum of three years experience in a Customer Service Position
Type 40wpm without errors
Pride in workmanship & Attendance
High-level of organizational and prioritization skills Able to multi-task
Attention to Detail Accuracy is a must
