Customer Service Operator/ HR Assistant

Serves as Hotline Operator answering inquiries through the Customer Service Hotline, while providing administrative support for department manager and station operations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Using empathy, active listening, patience, problem solving and excellent communication skills, answers incoming customer calls and resolves (when possible) customer complaints and inquiries in a timely manner.

• Refers unresolved complaints to supervisor as necessary.

• Assist repair facilities with inquiries regarding testing procedures.

• Monitor's station wait times and notifies appropriate department manager.

• Processes out of State Extensions and electric vehicle exemptions, including logging and tracking monthly.

• Files and tracks Repair Data Forms for accurate completion of the Vehicle Emission Repair Index.

• Generates test volume, BMV transaction, tests per labor hour and station start-up reports and distributes as appropriate.

• Monitors and tracks completed customer experience surveys and Google reviews, reporting on program statistics monthly.

• Assists department managers in interview scheduling and other aspects of the new hire process as directed.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

• Basic problem solving skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.

• Minimum 2 years clerical/administrative experience

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to answer high volume of telephone calls.

• Valid Driver's License and excellent driving record.
