As a Customer Service Manager at Valmet, you are building strong relationships with our customers. You will direct your team on entering orders in the ERP system, create work orders, work order completion, invoicing and follow up.

You will work on continuous improvement initiatives and be an ambassador of change for your team. The value this position provides, shows the customer that doing business with Valmet now and in the future is a solid choice for their business!

The ideal candidate for this position will undertake various responsibilities pertaining to product leadership and field services agreements as designated. Direct management of a team will be a primary duty, encompassing functions such as order entry in the ERP system, work order creation, dispatching to field service experts, overseeing work order completion, invoicing, and subsequent follow-up.

Additionally, this role will involve managing the team's schedule, including workload assignments and vacation planning. The candidate will take a leadership role in change management, training planning, and the implementation of new systems or processes. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key focus, involving KPI monitoring, action planning, and subsequent follow-up.

Acting as a liaison with Project Management to aid in staffing installations will be essential. Standardizing Field Service practices and business processes within the department and across NA's Field Service groups will be another crucial aspect of the role, including managing the pricing sheet and customer survey process. Keeping departmental expenses within the established budget, conducting annual reviews, and developing competency plans for personnel will be part of the duties.

Expectations

To excel in the role, you should have a solid understanding of the business environment. You should be familiar with the manufacturing process.

You should have excellent computer and communication skills, along with experience within the customer service function. You balance a desire to support and work closely with customers along with your passion for development of cutting-edge products.
