Customer Service Assistant

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our Operations team. The Customer Service Assistant will ensure the efficient handling of customer service tasks and support the overall operations of the Customer Services Department. This includes managing administrative and clerical functions, processing orders, and coordinating activities to facilitate smooth logistical operations and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Good data entry skills.
• Ability to plan and organize workload.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet work deadlines.
• Must have great written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate load times with planners and ensure alignment with available equipment.
• Receive and enter load tenders from customers through various channels (email, fax, phone, EDI), and update the system with appointment details.
• Obtain and update necessary details related to purchase orders and trailers in the system.
• Assist Customer Service Representatives with their duties, provide temporary coverage for account activity, and handle rescheduling of missed or late loads.
• Demonstrate support for the Quality Management System and perform other duties as assigned to maintain service standards.
