Georgetown Law's Copy and Mail Services handles all United States Postal Service mail, assists in sending overnight packages by UPS and Federal Express, and sends packages to Main Campus via courier. It also receives, sorts, and delivers all incoming mail, newspapers, and packages to departments and faculty twice daily.

Job Overview

The Customer Service Assistant - an integral member of the Law Center's Copy & Mail Services Team - assists with all aspects of the campus' mail and copying needs. They serve as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students in need of assistance with printing needs, mailing, courier, and overnight carrier services.

As well, they are responsible for providing top-notch copy and mail services, and providing any relevant troubleshooting; and for operating high-volume copiers, booklet makers, scanners, a mail meter, as well as other finishing devices.

Work Interactions

Reporting directly to the Customer Services Supervisor, the Customer Service Assistant interacts with a wide variety of constituents, including Law Center faculty, administrators, staff, and students.

Work Mode Designation

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma

  • Strong customer service skills

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with high-volume copy machines and postage metering equipment

  • Experience working well with a variety of post-production finishing devices
