The purpose of Customer Service Representatives (CSR) position is to deliver excellent customer care and create sustainable value for customers via phone, email, chat, and correspondence. The CSRs handle service and information requests, billing explanations, cost savings advice, and explain company policies and procedures along with terms and conditions. Our CSR's do work 30 and 90 collections and help to sort through and batch mail.

Call Center hours of operations are Monday through Friday 7:00AM to 7:00PM. However, the shift will MOST likely be 1030-7PM Monday-Friday. Training will be Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00PM for 4 weeks.

Minimum Requirements

Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 6 months call center experience or at least 1 year of customer service experience

  • 30 and 90 Day Collections Experience perferred

  • Knowledge of mainframe and computer (pc) and internet applications / some technical experience

  • Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent telephone tact and diplomacy

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with supervisors, peers, and customers

  • Proficiency in keyboarding/data entry

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills demonstrated by use of correct grammar and terminology

  • Time management skills (dependable, accurate, and detail oriented)

  • Successful completion of Drug Screen and Background check

  • Ability to work the hours of operations as shifts will not be assigned until the end of training

  • Ability to attend 100% of the required weeks of training

Final candidates for this position will need to successfully complete drug screening and a background investigation, which may include a criminal and credit check.

Assists the Artistic Director with administrative and programming needs for The American Theatre, Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center and the Arts Education program and activities designed to bring about public awareness, education, participation, general interest and appreciation for the arts as a vital quality of life asset for the City. Provides management support for the day-to-day operations of The American Theatre. Examples of Duties * Manages Guest Services and Front of House operations at The American Theatre to ensure patron requirements are met and patrons experience pleasant and safe events; supervises 70+ part-time and volunteer event staff; works with the Assistant Education Manager, coordinating volunteer prospects and needs across the department; establishes and updates protocols and procedures in coordination with the Artistic Director and Assistant Director – Operations and Events. * Manages performance and rental contracts for The American Theatre and Charles Taylor Visual Arts Center; meeting all artist and management company service needs, such as scheduling travel and accommodations; responds to prospective renters by providing tours, rental guidelines and rates; ensures all contracts are fully executed, terms are fulfilled, and event information is provided to the appropriate divisions. * Assists the Artistic Director with the needs and department activities of the Hampton Arts Foundation, as part of the private/public partnership with the City of Hampton. Manages, develops, organizes, and coordinates Foundation activities such as annual fund letters, gala planning, meeting minutes, agendas and board member support. * Prepares minutes and meeting follow-up correspondence for Hampton's Commission on the Arts; coordinates School Grant Program; posts meeting calendar, agendas, and minutes on Civic Plus website. * Manages administrative functions for venues and programs to include educational, performing and visual activities such as performances, classes, camps, performance talk-backs, special arts events, school matinees, meet and greets, and other activities. * Coordinates with production and operations staff for setups for special events, classes, programs, and activities. Participates as a member of the team in collective responsibility for the security of the buildings and equipment, ensuring doors and windows are locked and alarms are set. * Creates, maintains, and completes numerous event and financial reports, databases, event calendars and the season booking grid. * Attends events, staff and board meetings, conferences, and training as required. * Demonstrates regular and punctual attendance. * Performs other related duties as required. Typical Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Arts Education, Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Recreation, or a related field. A minimum three (3) years of professional experience in one or more of the primary cultural areas to include arts and culture services, performing art, theatre, music, visual arts, or arts education required. A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience is required. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with diverse populations, the ability to evaluate and respond to demands of the industry and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria. Must successfully pass a background check related to this position. A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position. Supplemental Information Receives general supervision from the Artistic Director. Requires flexibility and willingness to participate in a broad range of administrative, educational, performing and visual art skills and to function effectively in a variety of assignments.
