Primary Job Duties

As a Part-time Ticket/Gate Agent, you are responsible for ticketing and re-booking passengers, boarding flights, and assisting passengers with special needs.

  • Greet and assist all customers in a friendly and timely manner

  • Issue tickets, assign seat assignments, check baggage, board flights and provide any other information needed

  • Comply with all safety procedures and station policies

  • Assist special needs passengers and resolve customer complaints

  • Communicate clearly with ground personnel and flight crews

  • Calmly handle situations such as cancelled and delayed flights

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

  • Must possess a valid driver license

  • Positive and outgoing team player

  • Must type 30 wpm

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift 60+ pounds consistently, with or without a reasonable accommodation

  • Physical agility test may be required

  • Must be willing to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays

  • Must be flexible to work split shifts including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings

  • Attend 3 weeks of Customer Service training (dates to be determined)

Schedule: This position will work the day shift Sunday through Thursday. Training: Training will be Monday through Friday day shift hours for the first 2 weeks. Job Summary: Recruit prospective blood donors from a variety of sources by phoning individuals to make donation appointments. Contact active, lapsed and occasional apheresis and/or whole blood donors to increase the frequency of donations and increase the number of donors at fixed sites or mobile unit blood drives to meet the collections goals. Positively impact the quality of service to donors and groups, increasing the availability of blood products. Coordinate reminder calls, follow-up, logging of data, maintenance of records and special projects to achieve established goals. Responsibilities: 1. Contact by telephone current apheresis and/or whole blood donors to recruit for donation. 2. Schedule appointments to ensure maximum number of donors are scheduled each day. 3. Follow a process and appropriate scripting for conducting a call with a donor, to ensure a consistent donor experience. 4. Maintain daily production standard, including phone calls and appointments per hour, to meet established collection goals. 5. Develop a working knowledge of donor criteria to inform donors of eligibility and reduce deferral rates. 6. Maintain accurate records of donors/groups contacted and appointments scheduled to avoid errors, poor customer relations and to ensure sufficient donor availability. 7. May work collaboratively with the fixed site recruitment manager to develop new leads and implement new donor recruitment programs to ensure an increased donor base and an adequate blood supply. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum one year of telephone and customer service or telemarketing experience is required. Computer experience, MS Office experience, excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required. Effective verbal communication skills, the ability to work with potentially difficult customers, and work in a fast paced environment is required. Reliable attendance a must. Apply now!
