ABB Inc., is seeking for a Customer Service Account Manager

  • SC, NC, VA to join our Robotics and Motion team, the first major global industrial robotics manufacturer to produce robots in the United States. ABB is the leading supplier of industrial robots, modular manufacturing systems and service and has installed more than 250,000 robots worldwide.

Tasks:

This role is responsible for the territory of NS, SC and VA, and will be meeting or exceeding the sales target established for their territory and for service order growth within their territory.

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • The Customer Service Account Manager must travel at least 4 days / week and visit 8 10 customers from the Installed Base List each week.

  • During customer visits, the Account Manager engages all levels of plant personnel to sell ABB services including:

a) Spare Parts to customers within region

b) Product and System Training

c) Pre-owned Robots

d) Robot Repairs

e) Preventative Maintenance Services

  • In addition to selling the above standard services, it is expected that the Account Manager develop high-level plant relationships with production, engineering and maintenance managers.

  • The successful Account Manager will leverage these contacts to align the ABB services offer with customer requirements, develop an ROI with the customer, and sell service solutions to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) including:

a) Productivity Improvement Projects

b) Service Agreements

c) System Upgrades

d) Maintenance Programs

  • The Customer Service Account Manager must actively manage an installed base of plants and be acutely aware of competitive threats affecting the service market within their territory.

  • It is expected that the Account Manager have the capacity to establish a territory strategy and set priorities.

  • The Customer Service Account Manager is also responsible to utilize Sales Force for Account Management, Contact Management and Opportunity Management for accounts in their territory.

  • THIS POSITION SITS IN: NC, or SC, or VA*

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree AND 5 years of experience in sales, or support sales, or customer service, or maintenance, OR
  • Associate Degree AND 7 years of experience in sales, or support sales, or customer service, or maintenance, OR
  • High School Diploma or GED AND 9 years of experience in sales, or support sales, or customer service, or maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in robotics is a plus

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Self-motivated and dedicated to producing quality work results and meeting sales targets

  • Open to travel 75% for customer visits.

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
