Location: Can be located anywhere US-Remote or EMEA-Remote

CMD Customer Segment Sales Operations Manager will play a key part in driving better commercial performance in growing a specific customer segment. This role will be instrumental in supporting a dedicated sales team to generate demand, build opportunities and fulfill customer needs. They should be familiar with the customer framework, selling processes and commercial critical metrics. Adapting themselves in working across multiple partners groups, aligning to a mutual solution and have a very strong analytical capability. The successful candidate will bring passion for efficient customer experience, problem solving and a strong execution orientation.

A day in the Life

  • Responsibilities:
  • Be part of the development and implementation of sales strategy execution planning. This includes crafting sales programs, developing joint business plan methodology to drive wallet share within targeted customer segment. Use Data Science initiatives to drive CRM convergence in specific accounts to increase wallet share.

  • Build and champion relationships with sale team to provide support and training for any sales tools and programs. Mobilize, implement and drive adoption across sales team. Train colleagues on implementation of new processes and tools.

  • Work with multiple organizations within Thermo Fisher to lead project initiatives using project management tools to complete. Work across multiple functions such as Corporate, Marketing, BU, Finance, IT to develop detailed tool. Connect teams to drive a more enterprise level approach.

  • Crafting and maintaining project management scope for projects and initiatives. Measure adoption, completeness, timelines and accuracy.

  • Lead and facilitate operating mechanisms to drive achievement of business goals. Develop and drive action plans for improvements in specific critical metrics like Win Rate/Hit Rate, pipeline conversion, wallet share, cross-sell attach rates. Prepare internal and external reporting for metrics report. Support business leader for quarterly and strategic business reviews. Measure program efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Assist in preparation of Annual Operating plans, forecasts and assessments.

  • Using SalesForce and SAP for reporting and benchmarking.

  • Help integrate Voice of Customer feedback into SFDC for customer segment.

  • Develop joint business planning tool for use across selling teams and integrate within CRM.

  • Provide SFDC governance for segment with attention to mapping of SFDC accounts and ensuring stage completion.

Keys to Success

  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.

  • 7 years+ validated experience in the areas of Sales Operations, Marketing, Data Science or Finance.

  • Validated proficient expertise in analytical tools like MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau, CRMA or other analytical visual tools.

  • System knowledge across SFDC, CPQ, and SAP systems within CMD,

  • Strong validated process and quality skills (PPI, Six Sigma, etc.) and ability to facilitate others to efficient solutions.

  • Shown experience leading project teams is helpful.

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams across the globe, including sales, marketing, IT, and Order Management.

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills used in problem solving.
