Responsibilities:

Customer Facing (60%)

  • Actively engages with both counter customers and phone customers to fully identify needs, respond to inquiries or questions, and offer timely quality solutions.

  • Engage every customer when they enter the store, before they reach the counter ("10 ft /10 seconds in store" rule of engagement)

  • Provides technical support to customers.

  • Meets or exceeds sales goals by having and maintaining current knowledge of all portfolio offerings and demonstrate technical knowledge to provide value propositions to the customer and drive sales

  • Partners with customers to grow sales by identifying related products or add on extensions needs and making customers aware of product promotions.

  • Determines the best method to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to company policies.

  • Makes outbound calls including marketing new products.

  • Generates lead sheets for Account Managers

  • Occasionally visits external customers to better understand their needs and potential sales opportunities in future.

  • Parts identification and troubleshooting, beyond OEM parts.

  • Identify items which meet the needs uncovered during conversations with customers in store, on phone and at customer site and submit them for addition to showroom portfolio.

  • Processes Refrigerant Reclaims

Operations (ranges 20-30% depending on number of store associates)

  • Executes quote and order management processes with high level of accuracy to expedite the fulfillment process and ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery entering quotes and invoices and follow through on fulfillment.

  • Helps plan store customer and vendor events.

  • Completes training as required, including safety training, certification and testing.

  • Reinforces culture of safety by utilizing all appropriate resources to safely perform all functions of the job

  • Understand and execute processes and standard work.

  • Identify new opportunities for process improvements.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

Back office (ranges 10-20% depending on number of store associates)

  • Completes cycle counts

  • Inventory management back orders, PO receipts, transfers

  • Responsible for staging, shipping and receiving parts, equipment, and supplies.

  • Stocks the parts store with an appropriate amount of merchandise.

  • Responsible for inventory control and bin location.

  • Enters inventory into software system.

  • Manages will calls.

  • May deliver parts to customer locations or job sites.

  • Practices safe material handling techniques.

  • Filing of M/S's, freight bills of lading, equipment packing slips, etc. for inventory reconciliation and audit purposes.

  • Responsible for filing of freight claims for damaged goods.

  • Handles transfers between locations.

The Counter Sales Representative provides attentive, courteous service to understand the customer's travel needs, promote Hertz's products and services and resolve issues. Responsibilities: * Provide world class customer service by managing the rentals and returns process, in compliance with Hertz's policies and procedures * Personally welcome customers using with a pleasant greeting, assist in answering questions in a friendly manner * Resolve customer issues and concerns professionally using effective customer service techniques * Effectively communicate and offer ancillary products and services to enhance customer's travel experience * Emphasis on selling and revenue maximization on core products such as, but limited to, options to waive customer's responsibility of damage, fuel options and vehicle upsells * Answer telephone calls in a timely manner in accordance with best practices and policy standards * Liaise with various Hertz departments * Achieve personal sales goals while supporting the goals of the team * Answer questions and provide directions in a courteous and expeditious manner * Qualify and process customer rentals with accuracy and attention to detail * Accurately record the customer's information to complete the rental record and maintain all paperwork associated with the rental * Maintain appearance appropriate for providing best in class customer service in accordance with established guidelines * Drive continuous improvement by communicating customer feedback to team and engaging in action planning to improve operational performance and customer satisfaction * Keep work area organized and free of clutter Mandatory Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent * A minimum of one year of sales or customer experience in a high volume or service oriented environment * Passion for customer service and attention to detail - Goes the extra mile * Proven strong sales and closing skills and the ability to friendly, engaging manner * Motivated to achieve and exceed targeted goals * Strong computer proficiency, including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems * Proficiency in English * Good communication skills both written and oral. Communicate in English clearly and proficiently. Candidates fluent in other languages are encouraged to apply * Work in a fast paced environment with a variety of tasks.
