NOV Bammel - Repair is currently recruiting for a Customer Repair Representative to join our team at 5100 N. Sam Houston Parkway W., the main responsibilities of this role include:


Bammel Repair Department

Job Summary:

Responsible for coordinating and interfacing with customers, suppliers, other departments and roles within the NOV. Responsible for the creation and sending of quotation activities and processes. Responsible for customer purchase order receiving processes and communicating between NOV and clients in order to ensure good customer satisfaction.


Bammel Repair Department Primary

Responsibilities:
  • Track all inquiries for quotations when equipment arrives directly to the repair facility or after notification from the CSR of inbound equipment.

  • Contact customers to define the necessary scope of work.

  • Carry out credit limit checks, and ensure customers are not on black or watch log lists by using the Global Compliance System.

  • Work on difficult issues regarding client complaints and other issues.

  • Work closely with department managers on updating projects for customer requirements.

  • Creation and control of quotes according to customer needs by successfully following the

completion of the Contract Review, and communicate with customers for clarification.

  • Submit all incoming customer service orders within the Enterprise Resource Planning "ERP" so the project can be properly carried out to avoid delays and unexpected issues.

  • Communicate with outside vendors to request all necessary quotes, which will allow us to ensure expected profit margins are in line with customer expectations. This will also ensure deadlines and the conclusion of service is achieved within the timeframe outlined.

  • Responsible for revising and adjusting quotes.

  • Communicate with the customer regularly reporting progress of all jobs in order to keep them properly informed.

  • Identify potential improvement opportunities within the applicable systems and work with relevant departments on such improvements.

  • Responsible for developing and creating ITP/Quality Plan and coordinate associated activities.

  • Pursue continuous improvement in its own activities and operations.

  • Overseas operation/activities and provide overall guidance to the customer service assistant.

  • Comply with all NOV Company policies and procedures established by the Quality Management System, HSE, as well as all other Corporate guidelines.

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

  • 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing environment preferable

  • Higher education degree desirable

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties. * Promptly provide accurate repair inventory information, including purchase order numbers, availability and delivery time to address Customer needs * Provide quotations and lead time information * Complete the repair sales order management process in a timely manner, usually same day * Work closely with suppliers and vendors to track and locate repaired product * Coordinate the RMA process * Conduct physical inventory of repaired product * Follow up with Customers to provide accurate product delivery dates * Understand and follow appropriate work processes * General warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving product and operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment * Escalate issues regarding inventory discrepancy, product delivery, or product warranty to appropriate management * Maintain customer information such as contacts and order preferences * Prepare reports and maintain documentation as needed for management * Other duties may be required Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection. EDUCATION: * High school diploma or GED EXPERIENCE: * Three years of customer service or warehouse experience * Customer service or warehouse experience in industrial distribution, business-to-business, or a technical field SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand requests and respond accurately and appropriately * Knowledge of Microsoft Office: basic PC skills in Microsoft Outlook; basic to intermediate skills in Excel * High level of attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities * Ability to effectively utilize internet resources to obtain information * Basic skill level using distribution or manufacturing software involving sales order entry, inventory availability, purchase order inquiry, scheduled and acknowledged dates, open and converted quotations, and customer A/R account status; experience with these operations in a P21 environment is preferred * Demonstrated ability to provide high quality customer service * Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision * Some knowledge of industry-specific products is preferred * Forklift certification is preferred PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting or standing to perform the work. There may be some infrequent movement from area to area to transport items weighing no more than 15 pounds. The incumbent will frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with mechanical assistance. On occasion, the incumbent may visit Customer or Supplier sites, which may require driving a vehicle for periods of more than two hours. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office environment. On occasion, the employee may be required to enter a warehouse or repair environment, where noise and temperature levels vary.
