The CRM assumes general responsibility for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies which include customer and market research, marketing plan development and implementation, community education, growth, and public relations of the office and territory defined by management. The position reports to the Area Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Community Relations:

  • Makes sales calls and group presentations to referral accounts, including large hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, physicians and other potential referral sources. (85% of the time).

  • Expands awareness of ADARA services and benefits to professional health care entities.

  • Maintains daily log of sales calls, in-services, and community events attended.

  • Maintains up-to-date information, as needed, on competitors including pricing, census, product information, and marketing strategies.

  • Maintains up-to-date calendar of exhibiting and networking opportunities with assigned territory.

  • Identifies and recommends development of new product/service/niche markets and offerings as well as current product/service enhancements.

  • Assists with obtaining signed physician orders, attend care conferences or other duties necessary to start/resume home care services.

  • Prepares special market research and/or development of company marketing materials as needed.

  • Education/Teaching:

  • Maintains knowledge of home care industry trends and educates branch personnel.

  • Educates/trains/orients branch personnel in customer relation skills/techniques.

  • Educates referral sources on home care services and the referral process.

  • Supervision/Leadership:

  • Provides role modeling of teamwork, accountability and a positive can-do attitude.

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.

  • Instills confidence in branch personnel regarding customer relation skills.

  • Demonstrates self-direction to prioritize and accomplish job responsibilities.

  • Demonstrates and encourages appropriate problem solving methods and willingly listens and responds to branch personnel concerns.

  • Takes initiative and possesses a "self-starter" mentality while working independently.

  • Financial:

  • Ensures growth and profitability of the company through the responsible use of company resources and educating the community to our services.

  • Applies basic knowledge of financial resources for home care clients when educating referral sources and clients.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

Light to Medium. Moderate lifting necessary of marketing equipment/materials. Provides services in all types of health care entities and/or client homes. Must be adaptable to a variety of environments and community settings. Driving in all types of weather.

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Qualifications:

  • Have minimum of two years sales experience OR two years' experience in a health care facility or the home care facility or the home care field.

  • Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Good written and oral communication skills; interpersonal communication and teaching skills; public speaking skills.

  • Knowledgeable regarding community needs/services.

  • Basic computer skills. Willing to learn new software. Knowledge of Word and Excel a plus.

  • Ability to manage a variety of assignments while establishing priorities and assuring that necessary duties are completed.

  • Proof of negative Mantoux or documentation of negative chest X-ray.

  • Have U.S. Citizenship or evidence of valid Alien Work Permit.

  • Disclose any conviction and criminal history records pertaining to any crime related to the provision of health services or to the occupation of personal care assistant (no candidate who has been convicted of a crimes will be hired).

  • Pass initial and ongoing background studies and screenings including but not limited to those of the Minnesota Department of Health and the Federal Office of the Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals and Entities.
