Develops and implements standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering fields, such as chemical, computer, electrical, or mechanical. Devises sampling procedures, and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Excludes paraprofessional positions. Establishes program to evaluate analytical testing, equipment, facilities, precision measurements, accuracy measurements, and performance testing. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
Directs workers engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities. Specializes in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, systems performance, hardware performance, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research and development, and administrative application.
Leading Failure Analysis team to perform timely testing and analysis on Customer and Production defects to determine root cause and provide information / data for corrective actions. Monitor Production line defect rate to focus and prioritize part analysis and investigations to protect the customer and lower scrap rates. Manage the Failure Analysis Quality Technicians in their daily tasks.
a. Prioritize analysis tasks.
b. Provide guidance on product analysis / investigations.

d. Perform all typical Supervisory roles (HRD, time and attendance, etc)
2) Support (Production, QAP, IT, etc) in establishing optimized and updated Production data monitoring methods and alert triggers.
3) Develop and maintain current knowledge / information (as necessary) on product and station drawings, specifications, etc
4) Utilize data monitoring tools to highlight analysis priorities.
5) Perform / Lead testing and analysis on Customer returns and Production parts (NOK's, process variation, etc)
6) Document findings into individual reports and/or trend information.
7) Work with QAP and FA Operators to establish optimized Production line analysis strategy.
8) Support Plant and Worldwide meetings as needed (Jidoka, Internal Defect Management, Scrap Reduction, etc)
9) Plan and carry out special studies as needed to lower NOK & reject rates or gather data for changes to the process or product.
10) Manage maintenance of testing and analysis equipment.
Experience operating test and teardown equipment (test stands, measuring devices, lathe, etc)
Knowledge of SPC
Good communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, email, SAP).
Demonstrated technical knowledge to solve a range of problems.
Problem detection and recognition, problem nature's identification. Carefully inspects, finds facts and develops a clear picture of the problem.
Critical analysis capabilities, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas.
