Job Introduction

Quality, Customer Liaison is a Customer Service Representative for quality at the customer facility (Greer SC). Establishes relationships with customers to ensure the quality of the product meets their standards.

  • This is for 2nd shift, onsite at BMW. This position will follow BMW's schedule (50-60 hours/week; 5-6 days/week; 10 hour shifts).*

Major Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as, "First Response" for any quality issues on-site and work to contain problems until clean points arrive.

  • Coordinate any external sort activities at customer facility.

  • Start initial evaluation, diagnostics, and reporting for any customer complaints and provide immediate feedback to the plant.

  • Recommends response to complaints considering test records, production records, legal standards, and complaint validity.

  • Completes appropriate tests to confirm a product's compliance with quality standards. Documents test results and analyze data. Make suggestions for improvements.

  • Follow-up with the customer on all customer complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties.

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

Knowledge and Education

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • 3 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with extensive customer interaction.

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.

  • Demonstrated ability to represent the Company in a professional manner when performing all job duties.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.

  • Must be able to operate standard measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, filler gauges) and basic electrical equipment (test box).

  • Basic computer background with ability to capture information using Excel / Word / PowerPoint and use email programs.

  • Preferable experience in the exterior mirrors product line and/or plastic painted parts.

Job Introduction Performs preventive and general maintenance on plant and production equipment on a routine and emergency basis. * This position is 2nd Shift* Major Responsibilities 1. Troubleshoot and Repair all electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems on machines and auxiliary equipment 2. Maintains a clean and safe work environment 3. Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment. 4. Preforms Safety Audits on regular basis 5. Perform LOTO on all equipment. 6. Maintains Work Orders and PM records on all equipment as assigned. 7. Directs contractors and insures Safety procedures and adhered too. 8. Orders required parts for projects and completes Requisitions and keeps supply of spare parts in MRO area. 9. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders. 10. Adhere to all environmental policies and procedures 11. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. 12. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. 13. Maintains Downtime logs and change logs 14. Participates in continuous improvement activities. 15. Participates in Health and Safety and Ergonomics committees. 16. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA S.C OSHA inspectors. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves Knowledge and Education QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, update, and work on all equipment in designated area of responsibility. 2. Must have current knowledge of electrical codes and electricity and be able to apply it to the job. 3. Demonstrated good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate with and work in a team environment. 4. Machine rebuilding and mechanical knowledge including electrical required. 5. Knowledge of S.C. OSHA standards and various industrial building/construction codes. 6. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, PLCs and PCs. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 2. Three to Five years of manufacturing maintenance experience required (Automotive Tier 1 experience preferred). 3. Mechanical or Electrical technician certificate preferred. Magna International Inc.
