Job Description:

We are currently building our Quality Customer Automotive group and are looking for a talented Launch Engineer to join our team. If you are looking for a way to accelerate your career and be part of a great company, this may be the opportunity for you.

In this role you will have the opportunity to support new product launches at OEM and Tier facilities. Develop Application Specifications, obtain approvals from the PDT, and release to the Web. Educate customers in the usage of Molex products through application specifications, training aids, and on-site support at customer locations. . Champion failure analysis and warranty investigations by leading the problem-solving process to root cause. Support or lead the activities of an 8D or problem resolution team. Minimize impact of issues to Molex reputation and bottom line.

Position Qualifications


  • At minimum a Bachelor's degree or Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering; or 5 years of experience troubleshooting electronics with warranty work
  • 2 or more years' experience in product engineering or production support engineering experience


  • Five years automotive production support or launch engineering experience for electronic products at the OEM or Tier level.


  • Expertise in the use of analytical tools, project management tools, PC and workstation software. Project management skills that demonstrate the ability to set goals and priorities in order to complete projects in a systematic and timely manner.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

  • Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test hypotheses, collect and analyze data, and verify corrective action. Demonstrated ability to define a problem statement, and use data to formulate possible Root Causes.

  • Good organization skills to anticipate, plan, and organize workload, expenses, and travel.

  • Understanding of SPC to allow review of data, and analysis of test and field results.

  • Ability to reads circuit schematics and layouts.

  • Working knowledge of electronics and device physics concepts to perform failure analysis.

Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes (Stamping, Molding and Electronic Assembly) and tooling used in manufacture, assembly, handling and crimping of our products in automotive and wiring assembly plants

The comprehensive solution overcomes inefficiencies in managing these complex patients and extends clinical care into the home.</p><p>Endotronix is looking for a Quality Engineer to join its Quality team to support design, development, and manufacture of medical device products.<br></p> <p> Responsibilities may include:</p> <ul> <li>Develop a thorough understanding of the entire product lifecycle for Endotronix product</li> <li>Provide quality engineering input to establishment of product specifications, quality plans, and manufacturing procedures which consider risk management</li> <li>Review and approval of design verification and validation protocols and reports to ensure that test article selection, sampling rationales and test methodologies are technically sound and sufficient given level of risk and internal/external requirements</li> <li>Review risk analyses and design and usability FMEAs for adherence to requirements</li> <li>Participate in design reviews to ensure customer and regulatory requirements have been properly translated in to design inputs which are complete, unambiguous and do not conflict</li> <li>Encourage continuous improvement in design control activities and proactive utilization of quality tools with design team</li> <li>Support design for manufacturing in the design phase through design transfer to manufacturing, both internally and externally</li> <li>Support manufacturing process optimization to encourage reproducible quality outcomes</li> <li>Assist with management and monitoring of process control metrics in manufacturing environment</li> <li>Develop sampling plans for quality assurance based on product risk and supplier performance</li> <li>Perform root cause analysis of field, incoming, and manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions</li> <li>Support suppliers and internal investigations on quality related issues and returned material analyses</li> <li>Compile and present data on product performance from post-market surveillance</li> <li>Model a culture of quality within the company and guide employees in best quality practices</li> <li>Some domestic and international travel (&lt;10%) may be required</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>BS in Engineering or scientific discipline</li></ul><ul> <li>5 years’ experience in quality engineering role</li> <li>Experience with quality principles and tools</li> <li>Capability in application of statistical techniques and sampling plans</li> <li>Skills in root cause analysis and determination of appropriate corrective action</li> <li>Working knowledge of ISO13485 and ISO14971 requirements</li> <li>Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and part of a team</li> </ul><p>DESIRED:</p><ul> <li>Experience in both design and manufacturing environments</li> <li>Experience in medical device industry, preferably with electromechanical devices and medical device software</li> <li>ASQ Certified Quality Engineer</li> <li>Technical writing skills, experience creating SOPs in a Quality Management System</li> </ul><p>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the U.S. and to complete the required verification document upon hire.
