Job Description:

Identify appropriate Customer Equipment for Advanced Networking systems.

Conduct trade studies to trade vendors and base technologies (e.g., dedicated hardware v. white box/NFV implementations)

Identify tool requirements required for effectively operating an IP/SDN-based Network Design, automated provisioning, event correlation and presentation

Engage with customer engineering, operations, and management personnel to define and document the customers CONOPS and requirements.

Serve as a technical interface between Harris and the customers engineering staffs.

Decompose requirements and allocating them to different subsystems or cross-functional domains

Lead design review efforts and hold design reviews with internal and/or external stakeholders, and ensure design reviews are planned, executed, and action items closed.

Lead efforts to follow systems engineering processes throughout the lifecycle of the product or service



Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent (preferably in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Networking, Information Technology or a related field), and a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience.

Preferred Additional

Skills:

Some experience and domain knowledge of L1 through L4 of the OSI Model.

Some experience working with L2 and L3 protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IBGP, EBGP, IS-IS, and MPLS.

Some experience working with Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Network Management System (NMS) applications used to monitor networked devices.

Some experience working with Long Term Evolution (LTE), VPN, and DMVPN technologies.

Experience working in an Operations Call Center or Data Center

Prior experience required in maintaining high service levels in a demanding customer support services environment

CCENT, CCNA, or CCNP preferred.

Team-player, able to work in a large program environment and have good communications skills.

Strong experience in the Systems Engineering Lifecycle.

Previous systems engineering leadership experience.

Self-starter, with high initiative and drive

ITIL v3 preferred

Masters degree or equivalent (MSEE, MSCE, MSSE, MCS [computer science] or a related field)

Familiarity with FAA programs

Job Summary We are seeking a radar systems engineer to support the design and development of the next generation of advanced airborne radar and weather radar products. The radar systems engineer, under the guidance of a Sr Systems Engineer or Project Engineer, may participate in several aspects of development including requirements capture, design, test development, and validation.
