Position Summary

Banner is seeking a talented, self-motivated individual to join our growing Lighting group, and who will be responsible for enabling the overall market success of new and existing integrated lighting solutions. The ideal individual for this position will have proficiency in key areas including customer engagement, project execution, collaboration, strategy, and training. In this role you'll be involved with a unique combination of lighting solutions to meet the explicit and implicit needs of our customers globally. This is an important role, and is a key driver for Banner to increase our revenue and global market share in the industrial automation market.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Identify and thoroughly explore customer pain points to create solutions which provide customer value.

  • Visit existing and potential customers to evaluate explicit/implicit needs and promote Banner solutions.

  • Work with Sales to create a targeted sales strategy for new solutions or to meet new market trends.

  • Build target customer lists and channel strategies to reach them.

Project Execution

  • Effectively utilize internal resources to ensure customer solution integration success.

  • Record key data and engage in regular communication with external and internal customers.

  • Lead and participate in other special projects as assigned.

Internal Engagement and Collaboration

  • Lead collaboration with Sales and Marketing to create and measure key launch milestones and objectives, target customer activity, sales tools and collateral deployment, solution availability, and market positioning as well as applicable conversion programs.

  • Support the Marketing group to manage lighting solutions and content on Banner's website.

  • Assist Sales in assessing top market opportunities to drive successful sales strategies.

  • Engage with all Banner business units to seek out opportunities to combine technologies.

Strategy Development

  • Research and identify market opportunities and trends; understand and report competitors' strategies and technology trends; recommend strategic activities and tactics to provide competitive advantage(s) for Banner

  • Manage and develop strategies to grow sales of Lighting and Indication solutions

  • Lead and monitor market-based solution pricing and profitability strategies to meet company goals Ensure Banner solutions are correctly and competitively positioned in the market.

Training

  • Represent Banner at organizations, trade shows and/or conferences to remain current in the industry, provide technical expertise and increase brand awareness.

  • Develop internal and external training content; educate the sales and development teams about solution positioning

  • Identify sales successes and promote internally and externally

The Program Manager is responsible for overall operational management, team performance, exceptional customer experience, and optimal financial health for an assigned customer. The Program Manager also carries an active role in establishing process improvement, performance management, and culture development within their assigned business unit. Essential Functions: * Lead the implementation of project and process management methodology, standards and tools to drive and facilitate successful project delivery. * Assist in the development of project bids and proposals with oversight of the negotiated terms and pricing with subcontractors for all projects assigned to the Project Team * Proactively mitigate risk and forecast the trajectory of projects to ensure that timely action is taken to keep projects on time and budget * Conduct financial forecasting of all projects assigned to the Project Team, maintaining Project Team budget and P&L profitability * Develop strong partnerships across the organization to ensure project collaboration and success * Build and maintain trusted relationships with customer and stakeholders * Drive measurable operational excellence improvements in key process areas including Days to Invoice, Tech On-Time Arrival, Project Target Goals, Team Productivity, and Quoted to Actual Project Margins. * Build and develop team that is results oriented, highly motivated, empowered, proactive and focused on continued improvement * Assist Director of Operations with the Design, establishment, and maintenance of an organizational structure and staffing resources to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives * Management responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; preparing and delivering employee evaluations * Responsible for the growth, retention and overall development of the assigned employee group * Align with corporate goals and strategies by managing project team to key metrics and communicating operations performance through reporting * Manage Project Team employees to ensure that departmental practices, procedures, and expectations are met, and that they are fulfilling their assigned responsibilities * Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to Project Managers and Project Coordinators * Improve customer satisfaction/NPS scores * Ensure that corporate policies and procedures are understood and followed * Provide the Director of Operations with regular Project Team performance updates * Assist the Director of Operations in the development of annual Project Team budgets * Attend and contribute to weekly Operations meetings Required Experience/Education: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience * Minimum of 5 years Project Management or equivalent experience * Minimum of 3 years employee leadership/management experience Preferred Experience/Education: * PMP Certification * Working knowledge of structured cabling and associated peripherals, voice technologies, VoIP and Point of Sale (POS) systems strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Ability to collaborate with all internal resources to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained * Strong leadership and development skills * Ability to function in a multi-project environment with changing priorities * Ability to calculate figures using methods above to determine operational amounts or needs * Ability to anticipate potential problems and proactively troubleshoot to resolve issues * Strong ability to define technical problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions * Analyze ideas and use logic to determine their strengths and weaknesses and be able to judge the costs and benefits of a possible action * Understand new information or materials by studying and working with them * Judge the costs and benefits of a possible action * Study how changes in conditions affect outcomes * Identify ways to measure and improve system * Think of new ideas and original or creative ways to solve * Ability to effectively communicate, present information, and respond to managers, employees, customers, and vendors in an intelligent, clear, concise, professional and grammatically correct * Ability to establish and retain customer confidence Comm-Works Plymouth MN
