As a Customer Mailing

  • Floater/Technician, you play an integral part in servicing the 4imprint mail crew in all areas of the department, to ensure 4imprint's customers receive the appropriate sample package in the mail and assists with their purchasing decision.

Here's what a typical day might look like. (These are the essential functions of the job). Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate the eight core principles that guide every 4imprint teammate on a daily basis: Honesty, Curiosity, Collaboration, Flexibility, Accountability, Empathy, Positive Attitude, Humility.

  • Work in all positions on the conveyor line.

  • Problem solve equipment operation issues with a sense of urgency and focus on reducing downtime and maximizing output; make minor repairs and adjustments as needed. Complete preventative maintenance and cleaning while maintaining a maintenance log on each piece of equipment. You'll be working with the equipment listed below:

  • Box former: complete changeover of parts to make the different boxes, make adjustments as needed for proper operation. Load box former with glue and boxes as needed. Identify any boxes that are not being made correctly.

  • Multi feeders: make adjustment to complete change over to different catalogs, make adjustments as needed for proper operation. Load Multi Feeder's with appropriate catalogs.

  • Automatic Labeler: complete label change over as needed, make adjustments as needed for proper operation.

  • Automatic taper: complete tape change over as needed, making adjustments as needed for proper operation.

  • Conveyor system: adjust conveyor and guard rails as needed for the different size boxes.

  • Coach others in a positive manner on the proper way to operate equipment and identify potential issues before they become problematic.

  • Work with manufacturer technicians as needed for troubleshooting and training.

  • Provide support for maintenance personnel.

  • Comply with all safety procedures, rules, and regulations, including lock out tag out.

  • Use a pallet jack to change out pallets of boxes and bring in new supplies.

  • Break down empty boxes and remove them from the mail crew area.

  • Stack completed parcels into gaylords in an orderly manner.

  • Use a pallet jack to pull out gaylord and assemble new gaylord as needed.

  • Adhere mailing labels correctly either manually or with barcode scanners and printers.

  • Ensure boxes successfully run through the taping process.

  • Accurately fill and seal parcels with the appropriate marketing materials and product samples.

  • Keep your area neat and clean.

  • Make boxes as needed.

  • Fold totes, remove polybags, and inspect items as needed.

  • Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.

  • Help out in other areas when needed and when time allows.

You might be a fit for this position if you are:

  • Someone who possesses sound technical/mechanical knowledge and abilities for troubleshooting and repairing equipment.

  • Have the ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence.

  • Are able to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.

  • Someone who can quickly assess where help is needed, and has the urgency to jump right in.

  • Someone who can communicate effectively as well as work independently and as a team player.

  • Are organized and focused on the details that matter.

  • Fluent with alphanumeric data.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.

  • Equivalent experience is considered having at least 1 year of longevity with a single employer, working in a full-time capacity.

  • Knowledge and ability to use material handling equipment.

  • Continuous standing and walking on even surfaces for an 8-10-hour day.

  • Vision required: Depth, less than 20 inches, peripheral.

  • Experience with different types of tools that are used on the job.

  • Work will be performed indoors.

  • Work will be performed at 4imprint, Oshkosh.
