The Customer Experience Territory Manager's primary role is to drive and extend the awareness of the Stuller's brand and the specific products, services, and programs that are identified as being most relevant to the success and growth of a specific customer's business. He/she will be expected to engage customers with active business consultation, gaining knowledge of a customer's specific challenges and opportunities while leveraging his/her knowledge of Stuller's business solutions and available resources. The Director of Business Development will be assigned to a specific geographical territory in which he/she will develop and maintain a specific set of customer accounts referred to as a "book of business". He/she will be expected to support holistic corporate growth objectives as well as individual goals for his/her book of business, all while creating and maintaining a positive customer experience.
1-3 YEARS OF PREVIOUS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND/OR CONSULTATION EXPERIENCE, PREFERABLY IN THE JEWELRY INDUSTRY.
Reside within targeted market for a Minimum of 2 years.
Customer centric with an ability to quickly recognize and address customer service and experience challenges.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Outlook and Excel.
Ability to multi task and respond quickly in a fast paced environment.
Good problem solving abilities.
High level of emotional intelligence (or EQ) Able to manage and or adjust your personal emotions and demeanor while considering that of the customer in order to achieve your goal. Using emotional information to guide thinking and behavior.
Collaboration with team through conference calls and meetings as well as mentorship of team members as your career develops.
Excellent organizational, written, listening and verbal communication skills.
Flexibility with work schedule, tasks, and assignments.
Some nights and weekend work is required.
In collaboration with leadership, identify a portfolio of accounts that represent high-performing independent jewelers within the assigned geographical territory.
In collaboration with leadership and the finance division, identify and develop key metrics to measure customer and personal performance, particularly analysis of ROI via profit and expense ratios.
Travel (primarily via driving with some flying involved) to current and prospective customers' locations to open accounts, introduce new product offerings, close opportunities, negotiate pricing and terms, maintain programs, offer training, and deepen relationships.
Travel and consult at trade shows and Stuller-sponsored events such as Bridge, Workshop, and Transform.
Public speaking at industry and company events.
Master CounterSketch Studio and Stuller Showcase for demo and training purposes with clients.
Establish relationships with inside specialists and experts to ensure an integrated experience for customers.
Capture customer information and utilize intelligence in Salesforce.
Participate in required Stuller-sponsored training. Initial training in Lafayette, LA for 2 weeks.
Participate in monthly file reviews and routine on-site visits with supervisor.
Focus on results and delegation of details as necessary, with timely and adequate follow-up.
Track and submit expenses with an accountability for results.
Actively participate and contribute in team meetings.
