Position Overview:

The Customer Experience Manager for our San Francisco location will recruit and oversee a team of dedicated Customer Experience Assistants, responsible for delivering exceptional service to Brilliant Earth customers. The Customer Experience Assistants will need to efficiently and effectively execute a personalized showroom experience, as well as complete the sales process and post-sale support. As the team's manager, you will have the opportunity to develop a team and have a direct impact on the growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and manage a team of Customer Experience Assistants in a fast-paced environment.

  • Maintain an efficient and highly functional showroom and office, ensuring that the team is meeting a high standard of customer service.

  • Create memorable and personalized experiences for Brilliant Earth customers by guiding customers through purchasing decisions, such as diamond options and custom designs.

  • Respond to customer inquiries over phone, email and live chat, and ensure that high standards are upheld by the team.

  • Conduct in-person customer appointments to present jewelry in our private showroom, creating a truly personalized experience in a luxury goods environment.

  • Consistently seek ways to improve the customer experience by designing and implementing efficiency improvement initiatives.

  • Handle customer experience escalations, ensuring the best possible experience for all customers.

  • Create and maintain a team schedule to provide coverage for all necessary duties and appointments.

  • Collaborate across departments on special projects in order management, inventory, merchandising, and fraud prevention.

  • Communicate with sales, production, and fulfillment teams regarding customer timelines.

  • Formulate and implement policies and procedures to ensure smooth business operations.

Specific qualifications:

  • Must have experience managing people in a retail and service or equivalent environment

  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of recruiting high performing and accountable teams

  • BA degree or equivalent

  • A true passion for helping people and creating positive customer service experiences

  • Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes

  • Motivated self-starter with high efficiency work style

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Ability to think critically and adapt quickly in a flexible environment

We are seeking a manager who will work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure CSG is effectively addressing the needs of Salesforce customers. This individual will support internal stakeholders by serving as a hands-on contributor to cross-functional teams, bringing testing and measurement strategies into the development cycle for CSG programs and offerings. As a result, this individual would preferably be located in HQ where he or she can easily participate in onsite workshops and planning sessions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following key competencies: * Active Curiosity - A high performing manager recognizes relationships between customer attitudes, behaviors and business results. * Analytic Capability - Customer experience managers are able to design and execute tests that measure how effectively a CSG program or offering achieves the desired outcome for customers. Similarly, individuals with this competency can develop methods to continually measure the effectiveness of a program or offering for the purposes of continuous optimization. * Technical Proficiency - Managers must exhibit technical proficiency by applying more advanced statistical techniques on large data sets to test hypotheses and develop data-driven customer insights. * Communication Skills - Excellent communication skills are required to translate hypotheses and insights into "do this, don't do this" messages to internal stakeholders. * Business Acumen - Being well-versed in the business allows a customer experience manager to understand the individual functions of customer-facing business processes, programs, and offerings. Key Responsibilities: * Represent the needs and desired outcomes of Salesforce customers as part of cross-functional teams working to develop or refine customer programs and offerings. * Evangelize customer experience principles, and the importance of customer testing during the development cycle. * Drive internal stakeholders to clearly define their target customer segment and desired outcomes at the onset of a project, in order to support the development of a sound testing plan. * Conduct internal workshops with stakeholders to facilitate customer-centric solutioning. * Develop and execute qualitative and/or quantitative research that validates stakeholders' understanding of the customer needs they are aiming to address. * Design methods to test and validate the desired outcomes of a program or offering during the development cycle. * Plan and conduct customer focus groups and in-depth interviews to solicit customer feedback throughout the development process. * Utilize knowledge of survey design, methodology, best practices, and sampling techniques for obtaining targeted feedback. * Translate findings and insights into clear recommendations for stakeholders. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree. * 5+ years of experience in customer research and/or a customer experience role. * Experience in a customer-facing role at Salesforce is a plus. * Knowledge of survey design, methodology, best practices, and sampling techniques. * Experience facilitating customer focus groups. * Experience facilitating internal workshops is a plus. * Strong knowledge of CSG products and offerings. * Fluency in basic statistical methods (means, medians, standard deviations). * Proficiency in SQL. * Proven analytic capabilities, including demonstrated ability to tell a story with data. * Proficiency with Einstein Analytics and/or Tableau. * Data visualization experience. * Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and utilize new technology and tools. * Attention to detail. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
