We are currently seeking an undergraduate Intern for our Pequot Lakes, MN location to work Part-time or Full-time hours August 2019 through December 2019. Responsibilities for our Interns could include:

  • Service Assurance Audits.

  • Service Assurance Surveys.

  • RMA Order Entry.

  • Validate and Migrate Data.

  • CRM Case Creation.

  • Answer Agent for Inbound Customer Calls to the Service Desk During Peak Times or Events.

  • Assist with reporting.

Required Skills

  • Excel, Microsoft Office.

  • Not required but Preferred: SAP, MS CRM, Customer Service Skills, Service Ticket Management, Microsoft Power BI

Required Experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Quality Assurance through Service Assurance Audits.

  • Voice of Customer through Service Assurance Surveys.

  • Operational Excellence through Reporting and Measurement.

  • Customer Warranty and Order Entry for Returned Products.

  • Excel data comparison and validation and how to migrate data between systems.

VIEW JOBS 2/13/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-13T00:00 Overview The Commerical Billing Specialist is a fully versed incumbent in all Products, Services, and related process for the Base and Viking markets. This is to ensure that customers are appropriately and accurately billed to ensure safeguarding of the company's revenues. The primary position responsible for building all commercial Base and Viking customer information, products and services into SABRE and other various billing systems. This position is responsible for receiving orders with a minimum order detail for all Commercial Base and Viking markets. Understanding the rules and qualifications for all products, including but not limited to understanding when documents are required and ensure accuracy of form completion. Accountable for interpreting and validating paperwork, accurately entering the applicable information into the order capture and billing systems in a timely manner. Possess an understanding of internal order processing and basic telecommunications in order to facilitate proper entry of billing data such as e911, LIDB, CNAM, PIC, Directory and other various billing data. Utilize standard practices and procedures. This position will be able to perform each assigned function consistently regardless of which order type or geographical territory they are supporting. Responsible for working with Commercial Sales, Order Management, Administrative Order Management, Carrier Service Center and other back-office provisioning teams to ensure that customer orders and requests are completed timely and accurately. Care for tasks from both internal and external customers. Responsibilities * Apply technical knowledge of products and systems to enter Base and Viking Commercial orders into SABRE, and other various billing systems. This activity would include, but is not limited to, interpreting and verifying that all product and billing requirements as well as Telecommunications Service Agreements, Addendums, and Amendments, are met on the incoming order and reflected correctly in the applicable systems. * The ability to accurately determine the appropriate transcode associated to the products and services requested. This determination directly impacts the commercial sales compensation. In addition, manually determine FCC regulated charges, surcharges, and non-recurring fees associated to each geographical area. * Ability to determine when surcharges need to be billed as single or multi-line, the quantity to bill which is dependent on the customer installed products and services, current and new. * Understand and apply order capture and product rules and work with Order Management and Commercial Sales teams to make corrections. * Understand all the billing system rules and requirements to ensure customers are billed appropriately and accurately to ensure safeguarding of the company's revenues according to the tariffs and product management rules. * Manage all Commercial billing Only order activity between Commercial Sales and enter into the applicable system, COBRA and SABRE. * Manage multiple orders, tasks, and follow up work that is time sensitive. Take necessary actions to update the billing system to ensure timely delivery and/or billing of services to customers. This includes but is not limited to capturing order detail from SFA, RNW, COBRA, and MetaSolv. * Make outgoing calls or email as necessary for order placement or to communicate proactively with internal customers. * Keep up to date on all systems, procedures, products and services involved in the customer contact, sales and order placement of Commercial customer accounts. This includes but is not limited to keeping up to date on Tariff rules and regulations, Telecommunications Service Agreements, Amendments, and Addendum requirements. * Special projects and/or audits assigned by the Senior Billing Specialist. Qualifications Required Qualifications * 2+ years' experience using a PC with various software packages -OR- current military service or prior military service with honorable discharge * 1+ years' experience in customer service Other Qualifications * 6+ months' experience working with detailed data * Experience working in a team environment * Must be able to type at least 45 WPM + * Manages multiple tasks and prioritizes well * Quality is absolutely crucial. Detail orientation is key. Attention to detail in assembling and submitting access service requests and loop service requests * Ability to work well with variety of different people throughout the TDS team * Excellent organizational skills to monitor and prioritize multiple activities at once TDS Telecom Pequot Lakes MN
