Customer Experience Engineer

The Job:

We are currently looking for a Customer Experience Engineer to join our Customer Experience Department. Our Customer Experience Team operates Monday

• Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Great opportunity for new graduates

You should have:

• An Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering (Required)

• Experience with order entry and customer service

• A dedication to quality and accuracy

• The physical ability to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day

Your duties would include:

• Act as senior member of the Customer Experience Team in regards to skill level, work load, ability to handle complex tasks and/or ability to train other members of the Customer Experience Team on an ongoing basis.

• Develop relationships with key people at each designated/assigned customer.

• Assist department in processing non-designated/assigned customer orders and quotes and phone support.

• Product selection and quotation expert

• Coordinate order processing to be efficient and accurate

• Expedite and provide status updates on orders

• Inventory evaluation and recommendations to meet customer needs

• Coordinate technical support when necessary

• Routinely goes above and beyond to exceed customer expectations

• All other duties as assigned

Who We Are:

NORD is a manufacturer of gear units, electric motors, and variable frequency drives for industrial applications. From order processing, to assembly, to shipping, NORD produces high quality drive systems for applications such as conveyor belts, industrial mixers, palletizers, and more.

A gear unit consists of an electric motor powering a gearbox. The motor spins at a specified revolutions-per-minute (rpm) and is connected to a small gear inside of the gearbox, which rotates a larger gear to reduce the output speed of rotation and increase torque. The gearbox's spinning output shaft is connected to a system, such as a conveyor belt in a distribution center or food processing line. Gear units like those produced at NORD are the reason garage doors go up, mixers spin, and rollers form steel.
