Functions

  • Deliver personalized customer service and the type of genuine care expected from your neighbor.

  • Tackle a variety of financial transactions ranging from check cashing to cash depositing to loan payments to counting currency and coin accurately.

  • Work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature (i.e. cash handling) where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

  • Hold financial conversations with clients and prospects to cross-sell other bank services and refer customers to other departments, as appropriate.

  • Be knowledgeable of products, fees and policies and stay current on offerings -- ability to make product suggestions, with assistance.

  • Answer customer questions with a can-do attitude, no matter how complex or technical (and they are frequently both complex and technical).

  • Constantly look for ways to "WOW" customers and community members alike through all of life's changes.

  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes.

  • Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year(s) cash handling experience, and a track record of outstanding customer service

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to proficiently preform a wide variety of tasks.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, 10-key, and a variety of office equipment, knowledge of Excel software applications

  • Demonstrated sales skills, a plus

  • High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Work involves:

  • Sitting
  • extended periods of standing
  • occasional walking
  • lifting up to 20 pounds.

Ability to perform accurate complex input/output functions on the credit union computer systems that relates to account, loan, and general ledger postings. 5. Must be able to travel and work at other branches as business needs dictate, sometimes on short notice. 6. Must be able to travel to different locations to attend training classes. 7. Must be able to perform the following functions: * Continuous standing or sitting for up to 8 hours per day. * Reach across teller station counter to comfortably count out/hand cash to members. * Intermittent bending, squatting and walking. * Lifting up to 25 pounds. 8. Must at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Provide accurate, prompt and professional member service while promoting credit union services. Actively participate in the branch's efforts to meet or exceed assigned production goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide accurate, prompt, courteous and efficient service to credit union members. 2. Maintain satisfactory performance record; including balancing, attendance, and sales referrals. 3. Performance of daily duties in compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. 4. Inform members about additional credit union products and services. 5. Must achieve assigned individual sales goals and actively participate in all branch efforts to meet or exceed assigned production goals. 6. Maintain security of all cash, deposited items, and negotiable instruments. 7. Answer the telephone in accordance with established phone answering sequence, using established greeting and adhering to service quality script. 8. Must be able to travel to other locations on short notice to fill-in where needed or as staffing needs dictate. 9. Must ensure that all inter-action with members and co-workers is polite, professional, and respectful at all times. 10. Successful completion of FSA and FSA I required training courses per the Career Path Program or as specified by SVP/RVP. 11. Additional duties as assigned.
