BrightFarms is a national leader in the booming indoor farming industry, transforming how produce is grown and delivered with its expanding network of high-tech, sustainable hydroponic farms. We currently operate six high-tech greenhouse farms, with four new regional salad greenhouse hubs breaking ground to begin opening in 2024. BrightFarms' fresh lettuce options, from classic greens to crunchy mixes and salad kits, are available in more than 3,700 retail stores across the East Coast and Midwest.
The Sales team is looking to add a Account Manager to serve the Northeast, Southeast and Central areas of the US. The Account Manager will develop and manage established and new customers to achieve sales and profitability goals. They will own customer relationships, sell key growth initiatives, and work cross functionally with the Marketing, Operations, Sales Strategy and Demand Planning Teams.
Specifically, you will:
Own the Relationship between BrightFarms Sales and GH Operation
Collaborate with the sales team to develop accurate SKU-level monthly forecasts based on expected demand, seasons, and promotions, which will create accurate revenue and demand forecasts
Own Customer Fulfillment, supplying daily direction to Farms on customer PO direction
Develop relationships with Replenishment Buyers, communicating surplus product opportunities and any predicted PO shorts
Develop a Network of temporary customers to assist in selling surplus harvest
Develop and Manage a Network of rescue (food banks, etc.) companies to ensure the excess harvest reaches needy families
Collaborate with the Director of Trade Management to develop promotional strategy, iTPM input, ROI, lift, and elasticity exercises
Collaborate with the Director of Demand/Supply to align on future capacity planning
Own the relationship with Logistics, including all customer sourcing decisions and cross-supply approval
Develop a monthly in-store survey process to record and publish quality, POG/POS compliance, and competitive activity
The ideal candidate has:
Bachelor's Degree is required; MBA is a plus
5-7 years sales within CPG industry; Produce experience is preferred but not required
Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with the necessary internal and external stakeholders
Strategic and proactive thinking to develop sales strategies and translate them into distribution, shelving, pricing and merchandising objectives
Strong data analysis skills to monitor performance in category and develop strategies to close gaps, increase sales, etc.
Management presentation competencies to effectively present key insights in front of internal and external stakeholders
Global mindset and desire to build a successful career with a growing global company
Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, & Teams)
Ability to travel 30%+
