The Customer Engineer ensures that Amada software and machines are correctly installed and ready to be used by the customer. If issues arise with the software or machines, the Customer Engineer identifies, troubleshoots and resolves the issue on site or remotely. This job requires travel within CA, NV,AZ, OR, WA, and UT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Install Amada software and ensure correct connect to Amada machines
Train customer and staff on proper use of Amada software and machines
Troubleshoot issues related to software and machine connections remotely or onsite
Occasionally assist the in-house software support and call center
KNOWLEDGE:
4-year degree in Electronics or related field, or minimum of 2-year degree with related work experience preferred
High level of PC, Active Directory, and Domain Controls
Experience in networking computers to machines and manufacturing equipment
CompTIA, Network +, Cisco Network Certified, or Microsoft Certified
SKILLS:
Software installation, training and troubleshooting
Strong customer service and communication skills
Working knowledge of computers, Windows OS and Networks.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
TRAVEL:
Routine travel with overnight stays.
