The Copywriter Specialist role is critical to the work for the Customer Communications Oversight group within the Customer Experience team. The successful candidate will write and edit copy for Cigna-HealthSpring internal and external customer-centered communications, effectively empathizing with the customer's perspective.
This position will report to the Cigna-HealthSpring Customer Communications Senior Specialist.
Create, review and edit written customer communications to ensure they are easy to understand, put the customer first and align with the Cigna brand and mission.
Counsel on communications solutions to cross-functional business departments that help achieve business objectives. Implement tactics to communicate business and project priorities.
Develop high-quality, accurate communications materials for multiple tactical vehicles, including internal PowerPoint presentations, email announcements, and online and direct mail.
Bachelor's degree highly preferred
4 years' experience in copywriting/editing; Health care experience a plus
Experience in layout and design principles a plus
Outstanding written communication skills, preferably in a colloquial, conversational manner
Energized by "fixing" things
Must be able to provide a portfolio of work
Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to realistically assess situations, gather relevant information, identify causes, and make recommendations for solutions
Detail oriented and highly organized
Works well on a team with good interpersonal skills

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications [Particularly Outlook and Word]
