Outdoorsy is the worlds fastest growing shared economy marketplace for RV, CamperVan, and Travel Trailer rentals. We are looking for support experts who are passionate about providing the users on our platform with the best customer experience in the world.

You will help our customers become Outdoorsy experts and act as their advocate internally to influence our product decisions and roadmap. As a Customer Care Specialist, you will be the frontline hero of our customers, helping facilitate a smooth and fluid experience.

This position will work out of our Round Rock, TX support hub.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with customers via phone, email, and chat to resolve their inquiries
  • Work proactively with other team members to find resolutions to customer requests
  • Understand client pain points, communicate their concerns internally, and influence our product
  • Use your product expertise to collaborate with and help other teams
  • Create and maintain helpful documentation for use by our customers and the Customer Experience team
  • Build up the Outdoorsy brand with your insatiable and addictively friendly personality

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1-2 years in a phone/chat/email support environment
  • Familiarity with web-based tools like: Zendesk, Slack, etc.
  • Experience working at a startup, or a fast-paced work environment, is a major plus
  • Great written communicator: Love writing to and speaking with customers (or people in general!)
  • Empathetic: Know how to make people smile no matter what the circumstances
  • Handles stress well: Conflict resolution skills and a personality that thrives in a fast paced environment
  • Culture contributor: Aligned with Outdoorsys mission, self-aware and positive attitude
  • Self Starter: Organized and a strong problem solver
  • Reliable: Reference checks should reveal no attendance / tardiness pattern
  • Flexible schedule (days, nights, and weekends)

This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts at a Sherwin-Williams paint store, servicing wholesale and retail customers. It will assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services. This involves ensuring that sales transactions are completed accurately, maintaining accurate work order files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, and tinting and mixing them to customer specifications. This position will also assist in sourcing products required by customers that are not available in the store and, upon approval, place order and follow up as necessary. Opening and closing the store, making bank deposits, stocking shelves and setting up displays, cleaning store equipment, and loading and unloading trucks are also responsibilities of the position. It may also assist in making deliveries if necessary. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be at least 18 years of age. * Must have a valid driver's license. * Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status. * Must be willing to work all scheduled hours and required overtime, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation. * Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to operate material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, etc.). * Must be able to tint paint, therefore, must be able to distinguish the difference between colors. * Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Prior experience in a sales or customer service position. * Associate Degree or related college courses. * Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints. * Good written and verbal communication skills.
