PG&E's Customer Energy Solutions department (CES) is responsible for designing, implementing and administering customer demand side management programs, including energy efficiency, distributed generation, demand response, and rate programs that help PG&E customers in Northern and Central California manage the energy use of their homes and businesses. Position Summary

This position is with the Non Residential Industrial Agriculture and Water Programs team in the Energy Efficiency organization but contributes to the success of all PG&E's Energy Efficiency portfolio. The Industrial Agriculture and Water team manages both internal programs and contracts with third party implementation firms (3rd Parties) as part of PG&E's energy efficiency portfolio, and collaborates with local, regional and statewide partners in developing and implementing energy efficiency programs. These programs focus on providing a broad offering of energy efficiency opportunities to industrial, agriculture and water customers. The successful candidate will manage at least one non-residential energy efficiency program with reach across several market segments through 3rd Party partners.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present information, status, issues and recommendations in a clear and concise manner. Furthermore, this candidate must have experience in energy efficiency programs including the tasks of invoice and cost management, strategy development, and coordination across internal and external stakeholder teams. Applicants should exhibit strong analytical qualities such as curiosity and critical thinking, with an eye toward identifying opportunities for market innovation and process improvements. Successful personnel in this role would be described as adaptable, results oriented, accountable, and problem solvers. Candidates should be prepared to provide examples which demonstrate these attributes.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contract Management -actively manage contracts to ensure delivery of assigned/contracted energy savings within budget.

  • Ensure timely and accurate compensation payments to implementers/vendors and tracking/recording of associated energy savings.

  • Product Management: Be or become familiar with products associated with program assignments.

  • Budget Management: Develop and monitor program budgets and forecasts

  • Create new business opportunities for the program: Identify new partners, technologies, and delivery channels

  • No more than 10% travel expected in PG&E's territory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of related experience, or equivalent

Desired:

  • Experience working in energy efficiency programs or conducting research focused on the Non-Residential market.

  • Knowledge and understanding of customer and utility business drivers

  • Demonstrated knowledge in at least on area of: energy efficiency, demand response, contract

management, project management, or related work

  • Experience in managing programs or a portfolio of projects including managing to a set budget and

series of goals.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access

  • Excellent verbal/written communications and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints

  • Successful track record of working collaboratively with teams

  • Experience with Salesforce applications

  • Valid Driver's License

Everything we do starts with the customer and our information about the customer. That information is collected and managed by our Customer Experience Strategy group. Each of our organizations, though completely dependent upon each other, are the experts in their area and will further drive PG&Es alignment around the customer. Within Customer Care, the Customer Energy Solutions department (CES) is responsible for designing, implementing and administering customer programs, including energy efficiency, distributed generation, demand response, and rate programs that help PG&E customers in Northern and Central California manage the energy use of their homes and businesses. CES' Energy Efficiency (EE) Strategy and Operations team is responsible for supporting the delivery of energy efficiency products and services throughout PG&E's service territory. This position is with the Deemed Platform Quality Control and Communications (DPQC&C) under the EE Strategy and Operations team. DPQC&C writes and manages all work papers and the data and ensure it complies with regulatory and PG&E requirements. DPQC&C works closely with the California Public Utilities Commission staff to manage the overall quality of workpapers and data submitted to support Deemed programs. Position Summary This senior engineer position is in the Deemed Platform Quality Control and Communications Team that provides support for our CES clients. This position provides primary technical support across many technologies and maintaining a strong familiarity with CPUC guidance to support our Core Products residential, multi-family and small commercial rebate programs. In addition, this position may provide technical support for Third Party and Government Partnership Rebates and Core Retrofit Incentive Programs. Specific duties may change in response to CES product needs. This position requires a high level of attention to detail as well as an intense focus on client and customer satisfaction. Success is measured by client satisfaction surveys, metrics of productivity, and ultimately by progress toward CES meeting its goals to help customers save energy while maintaining the highest achievable levels of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate can quickly assess technology applicability and eligibility, compare against CPUC guidance, and communicate recommendations that conform with program rules. Job Responsibilities This position provides primary assistance and technical assistance to the Core Products rebate programs aimed at residential, multifamily and small commercial customers. This position will work closely with the technologies lead in the Deemed Platform Quality Control and Communications Group. In addition, this position may also support Emerging Technologies, Core, Third Party and Government Partnership calculated retrofit projects.
