American Airlines is seeking Full-Time Customer Assistance Representative at the Denver International Airport

The Customer Assistance Representative interacts with customers in a courteous, efficient, friendly and professional manner:

  • Accepting, checking and tagging customers' baggage at kiosks

  • Processing and completing credit card baggage transactions at kiosks

  • Assisting customers with self-service kiosk check-in and kiosk baggage processing

  • Queuing lines in ticket counter areas

  • Accepting and activating customers' self-tagged baggage

  • Performing clearance and verification of documents at kiosks

  • Possibly performing additional related duties as deemed operationally necessary by management in with the collective bargaining agreement

  • Work shifts that include irregular and/or extended hours, weekends and holidays

The terms and conditions of this position are covered by the Communication Workers of American International Brotherhood of Teamsters (CWA-IBT) Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED or international equivalent

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

  • Read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.

  • Bilingual language skills may be required in some locations

  • Applicable valid driver's license as required by local authorities

  • Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements

  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable

  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Sabre or any other Passenger Service System

  • Previous face to face Customer Service experience

  • Working in a fast pace environment

  • Travel to the interview and any subsequent relocation expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.

Providing full cycle customer account management supporting buyers within specified product category to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner. The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between cross functional departments (Traffic, Plants, Category Management, Sales, etc…) by providing analytical support, problem resolution, direction, and training to support overall organizational growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Management of Customer Accounts * Manages customer accounts, from exception management through delivery monitoring including possibly utilizing co-managed customer replenishment systems * Acts as first point of contact to investigate problems and facilitate issue resolution in order to maximize timely and efficient sales order and invoice processing. * Responsible to track orders to ensure on time delivery of shipments and issue resolution * Supporting buyers within specified product category * Coordination between corporate office and plant personnel to ensure customer needs are met * Responsible for maintaining customer service performance including root cause analysis and managing service to targets * Responsible for order tracking to ensure on time delivery * Investigate order/invoice processing problems and facilitate issue resolution * Manage customer scorecards and provide service level reporting to internal partners * Maintain customer profiles in database system * Process Improvement / Project Management * Contribute to creation/maintenance of work instructions * Contribute to and implement process improvements to streamline overall departmental workflow * Participate in projects to develop and implement new policies and procedures and enhance supply chain capabilities * Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal needed to develop strategic relationships with the accounts and collaborative relationships with internal teams * Experience directly communicating with customers over the phone and through email * Experience supporting outside sales staff * Capacity to comfortably interact with all levels of the business and deliver results in a fast-paced environment * Professional demeanor and image * Ability to apply a logical and comprehensive approach to problem solving with creative solutions * and use judgment to resolve issue * s with the appropriate sense of urgency * Analytical, self-starting individual who will work to proactively find areas of improvement * Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism while under pressure to meet strict deadlines and balance multiple priorities adjusting priorities to adapt to changing customer demands * Exceptional attention to detail for both accuracy and content and ability to organize and prioritize work * Works with Traffic, Category Management, Plants, and Sales to produce needed reports, resolve issues, and communicate final resolution. * Must be able to work well in a self-managed team environment.
